One of my favorite places to eat Chinese food. Located in the Kalihi area. Its kinda tucked away but worth the visit.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. They have a variety of different tables for couples and big families celebrating an occasion.
I believe it's BYOB for alcoholic beverages. They do carry Pepsi products. They also serve hot tea.
Give them a try if you are around the area and enjoy! Aloha 🤙🏼
If you asked me, what is special about Au’s Garden Chinese Restaurant, I would say the Cantonese styled homely cuisines they offer, which other Chinese restaurants don’t. Here you can have crispy deep-fried intestines, braised pork with preserved vegetable, . . . etc, all typical and flavourful Cantonese hometown dishes. Besides, they have unusual happy hour in lunchtime at $11.95 from 10am to 3pm. Worth trying.
Went to try this place today, I like going to Hole in the wall , old stlye Chinese Resteraunts! The wife and I ordered the usual dishes we usually order wen we eat Chinese. Had the Crispy Gaugeemin, Salt pepper Squid, and Half Duck! All dishes! Excellent! Service Excellent, food came out FAST! Price , average going price every Chinese place! Mahalo! Will be back wen in area again!
Very accommodating restaurant! They didn't serve alcohol but they allowed us to run down to the liquor store a few doors down and bring our own. They even set up a deep tray full of ice to keep our beer cold! We ordered about 10 entrées and it came out pretty quick! Once they placed it on the Lazy Susan, they went back and grabbed the next item. We celebrated a wedding and a birthday that night and boy did we make a mess! We offered to clean up but they insisted that they would do it. Staff was super friendly and engaging as the alcohol took over control, they were nice enough to tolerate our drunken debauchery. It made the night very enjoyable. I would definitely throw another party here! The staff seem genuinely delighted to host and invited us back "soon". Food was delicious and I had better, but just the whole experience with the service, their willingness to assist in helping me pull off a dual celebration that consisted of about 30+ guests, balloons, a couple cakes, and the whole cleanup process made me believe that Au's Garden deserves this 5 star review
Food was good. Decent price. Hidden in the back of the parking lot.
Fabulous food. We had the set menu for 10 - lobster noodles, Peking duck, fried rice - it was all perfect. The staff showed us the most generous hospitality. Our group hailed from NYC, Seattle and LA, all hubs of great Chinese food, and we were more than satisfied. Thank you Au’s Garden!!!
The best Chinese food on island!! Big portions & well worth the price! Very delicious!! The staff were really nice too!!
Fyi: Add tips on with your order. Tips should be how customers want to top and not what the waiters or waitress wants.
Most authentic Chinese I've had in over 10 yrs (since I returned from living in China). Ordered Beijing (Peking) duck and Mongolian beef. Duck was crispy, juicy, flavorful. Portions were great. The service was friendly. The space itself was a bit run down and cluttered with boxes and stuff which some may find off putting, but I personally found it charming because it reminded me of all the little places I used to eat when I lived in Guangzhou. I can't wait to go back.
Our go-to place for Chinese. Great selection, fair prices and generous portions. Will work with you for special dishes and/or dietary restrictions. Lyn is just fabulous! Highly recommend giving them a shot.
