Had my husbands surprise Yakudoshi party there and it was the best place to have it! All my guests said the food was Amazing!! From booking the room to the day of the party the staff at Natsunoya are Easy to work with, helpful and so nice!! I definitely recommend having a party there!! Thank you Natsunoya Tea House!
we attended a graduation party for my niece, approx. 150 guests. their food was AMAZING; restaurant staff, including valet attendants were very courteous and friendly. restrooms and floor space were all very CLEAN!!!!!! highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!!
The last two times here have been for either a Christmas Holiday Celebration or a Wedding reception. The food is tasty and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Parking can be tight in the valet parking lot if you don't arrive early enough. Park for free in the neighborhood in easement areas.
The food and service were both excellent. It's been a very long time since I've been there, possibly 35 years, but I had a very nice time. Obviously the building is old and it would be nice if the women's restroom had more than two stalls, but they clearly take care of the structure and the facility was clean. It was nice to be there after not having gone in such a long time!
Great place to have a party, the location is Central to the island, parking is done by valet because the lot is tiny. A few rooms that can be configured for small and large parties.
There service is good and when we needed time for our program they left us alone.
Food is typical local Hawaii food and makes it unique for you to be formal or as informal as you need. I can't wait until we have another event there.
Older establishment with authentic Japanese food, service, and atmosphere. Nice views. Need to remove your shoes when you enter which is cool with me☺️ Had buffet style lunch for a birthday 🥳
Upstairs room was perfect for a 1st birthday party for 30 people. Private, nice view, quick & friendly service, awesome valet guys, food was good. Thank you!
We had Our 60th Birthday Class reunion for Kaimuki High School last night 10/28. The food was great n the view was beautiful!
I came here for a company event and it had great views being high up on alewa heights. We are in the largeat room which was partitioned by wooden panels. It looks like a large house converted into a multi room restaurant. Interior hallways are well decorated and they have valet parking in the large lot for $3. There is limited street parking and I didn't know if I would get owed so I valeted. Food was really good. Had had the most expensive preset bento for $26 pwr person that came with 2 shrimp tempura, 4 pieces of tender beef, miso soup, sashimi, potatoe croquette, small konbu wrapping carrot/tuna, california roll, cucumber roll, seared eggplant, sauteed fried tofu. Look at the picture I posted. Great for parties because you can bring you own alcohol, drinks and appetizers with no additonal charge. They provide tea and water. I was told theybhave full catering but out group wasn't large enough for us to justify the cost. We will be back.
Nestled amidst the lush backdrop of the Mānoa valley, Natsunoya Tea House stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of Japanese tradition and Hawaiian aloha spirit. The establishment's century-long heritage is palpable from the moment you step onto its grounds.
The traditional tea ceremonies offered here are an enlightening experience, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the intricate rituals and profound philosophies of Japanese tea culture. The meticulous attention to detail, from the whisking of the matcha to the arrangement of the tea utensils, reflects a deep reverence for the art.
Beyond the tea ceremonies, Natsunoya shines as a premier banquet facility. Whether you're marking a special occasion or just gathering for a meal, the culinary offerings are sublime. The sushi and sashimi are crafted with precision, using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the various kaiseki-style dishes are both visually stunning and delectably satisfying.
But perhaps the crowning glory of Natsunoya is its staff. Their unwavering commitment to upholding the establishment's storied traditions, coupled with genuine warmth and hospitality, ensures that every visit is memorable.
With its panoramic views of the city, serene ambiance, and exceptional service, Natsunoya Tea House is a cherished gem in Honolulu, offering a truly unique and enriching experience.
