Great food, amazing desserts!
I live nearby, so I drop in at least once or twice a month - I've never been disappointed by anything I order, even at these gourmet prices. I always save room for dessert, because baked sweets is where Cafe Laufer really shines - I particularly recommend their sticky buns with a glass of milk!
Cafe Laufer has dependably excellent food. We love their chicken salad sandwich on their own delicious French bread. Although there are many other things we like, the desserts are the best. The food's affordable. The staff does an excellent job. I like the decor.
Best food I've had in Hawaii so far! Had the pork shank. It was very tender and the meat just fell off the bone. The vegetables and potatoes were delicious as they were sitting in the natural juice of the shank. My wife had the duck confit, and it was equally as delicious. There was nothing left on our plates because it was too good not to finish! The coffee was very good, rich and flavorful. The wait staff was decently attentive. The service suffered a bit the busier it became, but they were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here again!
A favorite of mine for a light lunch or dinner. Great sandwiches and desserts...the fruit Napoleon is amazing. The staff are quick and friendly. Love the order and pay at the register setup...makes things more efficient. There can be a wait during busy hours but it's worth it.
Most beautiful and delicious pastries in town-REAL butter croissants which can only be found at Laufer. Most delicious lamb chops ever and fabulous salads!!!!

A little piece of heaven on Wai`alae Ave. Desserts are killer!!!! The daily specials are always a welcomed surprise. I love the chix salad sandwich. This place never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious. If you have never been, you really need to call some friends and try it for yourselves. Enjoy!
A special place with nothing else like it in Honolulu. A must stop. Try the Euro style Duck and finish it with a cup of Rich style German coffee and a specialty cake....Hell Yes
Only have had their desserts...and they are quite tasty! Coffee was good too. Service is very nice.
Friendly staff, limited but good selection of entrees.
Dont stare too long at the sweets because you might end up buying more than you can finish.
