My first time eating here. Fantastic experience. Waitress was very nice and helpful, plus the four dishes we order came within 5 to 8 minutes after she took our order. We ordered -fresh oysters/ lobster with garlic butter sauce/fried rice/fried ungchoy with garlic. Total $85.41 plus tip came out to $107. Very happy with my experience. I recommend eating here.
My sister felt right at home, the food was delicious and for a first timer this was a good choice. The staff was friendly and the food came out promptly. The abalone was awesome and I'm definitely a fan of the fried rice.
Always have a great time when we visit this place. My family always brings visitors here to eat the best fried lobster and crabs. We got to try the steam oysters, they are huge!! Taste great, too. We love the good food, the staff was great. Dont expect luxurious fine dining. Just expect a great atmosphere and great food. We would have gotten the roast duck, too, but we had some at lunch, lol. Wanted to try the pidgeon, but that needs a day advance notice.
Very delicious and large portions with good value!

Shout out to Lobster King and our waitress Joyce for outstanding service. They brought out two live lobsters to show us what we will be eating soon. My first time trying lobster sashimi it was delicious. There is adequate parking in the back of the building and accessible to all. I highly recommend if you love seafood and in Hawaii to try Lobster King. We had a party of 15 so they can handle a large group, reservations required.
We had a party of 10, and this was one of the few places that could currently accommodate. We were able to make reservations on a busy Thursday where many places weren't taking bookings. The food was good, bounteous, and well priced. We'd eat here again. We shared three dishes, while others in our party enjoyed different offerings. The spicy lobster was the highlight.
Lobster is the best!! Three ways to cook a lobster - soup, sashimi and salt and pepper. Don’t miss out this place for authentic Chinese food.
Despite the poor reviews, I thought Lobster King was a great place for fresh lobsters at a good price. Came in with a group of 7 on a Thursday night and the place was packed. We had to wait for 10 mins before being seated. Once at the table, the servers had hot tea, waters and menus for us right away. Their menu is quite extensive with plenty of variety at decent prices. Tonight we decided on a 4.5 lbs lobster (84$ at 18.95$/lb) cooked in their house special sauce over fried noodles, braised abalone with black mushrooms (17.95$), garlic fish fillet (16.95$) and young chow fried rice (11.95$). The fresh lobster was picked and showed to us before being cooked to make sure that it was fresh. The food took approximately 10 mins to prepare and I was in awe when the food arrived. The lobster was exceptional and tasted amazing. You can taste the freshness of the lobster and their house special sauce was spot on. The fish, abalone and fried rice was equally amazing with the portion size being very generous. It was definite worth the price that’s listed on the menu. The service was on point tonight. The servers took great care of us and got us everything that we wanted. I highly recommend Lobster King to anyone that comes to Hawaii looking for good seafood. These guys really know how to prepare seafood at a fair price.
Lobster King has long been a favorite of mine for their cheap lobster. Though the price of their lobster has gone up (now $14.95, up from $10) this still remains a solid spot to get some delicious Chinese (and Korean) favorites.
Peking Duck - Delicious and cooked to perfection. Crispy skin, good amount of meat, comes complete with the buns, green onions, sauce and shrimp chips!
Lobster - we had the special sauce (butter garlic) and black bean sauce, both of which were delicious but a little messy. I've heard the salt & pepper is less messy.
Fried Rice - the garlic seafood fried rice was delicious. The dried scallop egg white was a little more plain... just salty; I prefer my fried rice to stand more on it's own.
Mandoo - delicious; not the best I've ever had but the texture was nice and it came with a dipping sauce and a little kimchi!
Lemon Chicken - unfortunately this wasn't very good. The sauce was okay but the batter for the chicken wasn't good; it leaves both a bad taste and texture in your mouth... too much flour? The walnut shrimp kind of had the same quality...
Service - our server was rather friendly. Some other reviews complain about the service but that may be because it was during the dinner rush; we went during lunch.
My main complaint is that despite being a somewhat new restaurant, it is a bit dirty... I saw a tiny cockroach and some roach droppings on the windowsill as well. It's not the dirtiest Chinese restaurant I've ever been to but they lose a star for that.
Overall a good experience; highly recommended for Chinese food and/or lobster lovers!
Walnut honey shrimp is the best dish ever! It is well worth the wait. I enjoyed taking my family to this restaurant several times, especially for the holidays! Thank you so much 5 billion stars!
