The service was friendly and prompt with both drinks and food. The music of Ho'okena was beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was perfect.

This was a real 5* dining experience.
The food was absolutely wonderful (be warned though the portions are huge).
The servers were super friendly and helpful. Honestly, they couldn’t do enough for us.
Finally the music was great too. The evening we were there Kala’e Camarillo was performing and his beautiful songs made for a fantastic atmosphere.

Just Excellent. We went back 3 days in a row for lunch - fish tacos, poke bowls, and ahi nachos were all delicious. It's expensive (poolside in Honolulu, of course it is), but by far worth the surcharge compared to anything else in the area.
Really nice staff, mellow vibes, highly recommend.

Amazing food, we ordered off the lunch menu for dinner and it was delicious. The fish tacos and chicken burgers are so good. Amazing service as well. I appreciate the 3 limes for my 3 tacos.

Rory at the bar is great. Our server was ok. Get the Ahi Tuna nachos and the garlic bread. Super yum. Live music and the wife of one of the older gentleman will come out occasionally to do a traditional hula dance. Great place to hang out. Skip the Huli huli chicken rubbery skin. Truffle mash was great. Broccolini was without any seasoning.

They have live music every night and so the ambience is good whether you're taking a dip in the pool or just enjoying a nice dinner.

Not a single Saturday night better than Kani Ka Pila Grill. The live music by Ho'okena, drinks are amazing and food is top notch. Pineapple Creme Brulee.... Try it. You won't be disappointed. Choose the garlic mashed potatoes for the side. Yummy

We had our breakfast here and we ordered the pancakes and Island breakfast. This is a poolside restaurant. The waiter is very nice and accommodating. The pancake was huge!

Live authentic Hawaiian music pulled this rating to 4*. Got recommended by locals as one of the only places with authentic Hawaiian live music, which was amazing and added to the atmosphere. Food was decent, not much variety for vegetarian/gluten free/other dietary restrictions but kitchen was able to make modifications to make my dish gluten free. Garlic shrimp were great. Side of rice was dry and vegetables were fine. Husband had catch of the day tacos and he said he loved it. Pricey for the food, and everything is served on plastic plates/cups which felt really cheap. Like I said: the music made up for it.
