Best spot in Honolulu hands down! I’ve eaten here every single time I’ve visited Hawaii and it never fails me. Something for everyone and just a great atmosphere and great people. Different daily dog so you can go all week and eat something different each day!
Love this place. Great versions of hot dog to choose from and taste is always the best. Also, reasonable portion size, which allows for a splurge with less guilt.
Cool little shop serving great food. Prices are a bit ridiculous, but the dogs are very good. Awesome customer service, quick turn around time from ordering to getting food. Will definitely be back.
Haute Dog Cuisine. Read a lot of reviews and wanted to check this little spot out. We ended up going to it three different times since the hotdogs were sooooo good. Our favorites were the Lobster Dogs, the fries covered in a special cheese sauce, and the Mac and Cheese. I wish he had a chain of these throughout the rest of the USA!
I went to try the Chicago hot dog after it got listed as a top Honolulu taste by Honolulu magazine. It tasted, well, like a hot dog. Nothing too exceptional about the way that it tasted. It was certainly refreshing to have the hot dog topped by fresh tomatoes rather than the inevitable ketchup but I do that at home anyway. The relish looked fresh and interesting and so I am assuming that it was made on site. The relish was a definitive strength. The place looked clean and the service was good and efficient.
Dam good dogs.... Finally had some Hank's today and we will be back for sure. This will probably be our hot dog spot from now on pending how Puka Dog turns out. Wifey had the Chicago, I had the fat boy. We split fries and the drink and left stuffed! All I can say is everything was amazing and fresh tasting. We ordered the chipotle mayo and I sear that stuff is so good. I dipped my fries, haut dog and finger in it! Total came to $15.97 and we left happy as clams. Can't wait to get to 20 buys and get our free tee shirts!!! A+ to Hanks!!!
First time there and thought it was pretty good - especially the fat boy and lobster dog! pretty pricy for a hot dog though and that's if you don't get the fries and a drink.
I LOVE hanks! I must get it when I'm back home and crave it while I'm away! The Chicago dog is always great! The dog snaps with every bite and the poppy seed bun makes it even better. I also love the no dog! It's fresh and delicious. The chipotle mayo makes it a little spicy. If you don't think a dog will fill you up, get a bowl of the truffle Mac and cheese to go along with it. SO good. I love the fries dipped in the garlic aioli. Don't forget a pineapple ice!!
Another great DDD find. I've been to a lot of hot dog spots on guy's list but Hanks really knows his meats. The expertise here is in the dog. Visited on Friday to get a taste of the lobster dog. Well flavored and something you will find no where else. Fries and dips were also excellent. Garlic aioli was reminiscent of a Belgian frites sauce. But the winner by far via my palete was the chicken dog. Imagine both rotisserie and grilled chicken in the form of a hot dog. You can see the real chicken on your first bite. Mango with lime mustard was an excellent pairing. Having been to four DDD dogs places, Hanks currently takes the top spot.
Excellent! Tried the lobster dog and some other type of dog I cannot remember. If you consider yourself a foodie you owe it to yourself to try this out......unique and delicious combination of flavors.

Great dogs. Hank takes pride in his offerings and is often manning the register at both of his locations. My favorite is the fat boy. Bacon wrapped dog with with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Like the best BLT you've ever had. The waikiki location does not have a fryer so they are somewhat limited in their selection.
Gourmet hot dogs that hit the spot! Highly recommended. I had the Hawaiian Dog Combo (beef dog with pineapple relish - fabulous!) & garlic aioli dipping sauce for the fries. My wife had the Tuesday Special: Greek Dog (lamb sausage with gyro fixings that was fantastic) & ranch dipping sauce. The dogs were perfect, delicious, & so tasty! Buns were exactly right. Fries were fresh & crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The dipping sauces made the fries zing. They also had some very interesting burgers that I’d like to try on my next visit. We came here because this place was on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives in 2010. Guy F would be pleased to know this place is still kickin’ it 13 years later. You have got to try this place!
I absolutely love Hank's! It is an amazing hotdog spot and never fails to impress me. The diverse menu offers a range of unique hot dogs, including a tasty vegan option. The amazing fries complement the meal perfectly. (and you need a pineapple slushy). The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-try for any hotdog enthusiast.
There was a fantastic selection of hot dogs available. I had the Hawaiian Hot Dog. I’d visit Hank’s Haute Dogs again! Their kids meals were reasonably priced.
Really good hot dogs. The place is located in a plaza with a lot of restaurants and places to eat outdoors. Hank's is located in the back. The fries were nice and fresh. We got the ranch furikake dipping sauce too which was tasty.
Parking is free for the first hour but then you have to pay after that in the lot.
Loved these hot dogs! We found Hank's after a busy morning of sight seeing and this was the perfect place to have lunch and rest in their shaded outdoor seating area. I really enjoyed my hot dog, perfect amount of toppings and our order came out quickly. Liked their canned craft beer selection as well. It's in a great area very close to Honolulu Beerworks.
Hanks Hamburger was awesome!! Super tasty and referred by a coworker who had loved it previously.
Loved the Hawaiian hotdog! It’s at a great location with a free parking for an hour.
❤️! Had classic Chicago dog—grilled no sport peppers and onion rings and they were great! Haven’t seen a whole lot of hot dog places on the Island, but this is definitely a great place to get one. They have a lot of delicious sounding choices so you can’t go wrong. Hibiscus lemonade was really good too—not too sweet.

We stopped by on a busy weekend for lunch. The wait wasn't long, maybe 5 minutes. I ordered a Hank's frank. After hearing about this place from popular TV shows, I was expecting to be blown away. It's a hot dog. There's nothing special about it. The real showstopper is the French fries & the sauce. Now those are perfection! The atmosphere was laid back, all the staff were nice, & I loved the seating outside. It was secluded enough to relax, but still open to enjoy the people watching.
