Totally loved this place. Authentic food in generous portions, the hibachi performance was entertaining. Usually has a waitlist everyday so reservation would be recommended. Got the free portrait photo too😍.

The place was alright, it was definitely a tight fit to where the tables were a lot closer to each other, the atmosphere was good and the vibes in there were also good. Other than that I was also ok with my experience on the food. It could’ve been better but it was ok.

The most value-price balanced restaurant in Hawaii. Spent $300 + 15% tips for two but compared to other costly restaurants, this was the most valuable and satisfying restaurant in the island (personal experience)

I dine here every time we travel to Oahu. The food and service never disappoints. This is the second time we had Seth as a cook, and the food was seasoned to perfection as usual. Daniel did not let our drinks get to the end. He did a superb job. Thank you all and we will see again soon.

They are simply the best Teppanyaki styled restaurant in Honolulu. We have dined there for over 25 years and with 3 generations of my family. It is a must place to go to and the ambience, food, quality, service is A+++

The dinner and the show was delicious.
Although one thing I didn’t like is they cooked my steak & shrimp along with another party’s that wasn’t with us together than split it in 3.
I dont think I got my entire steak or shrimp. Should cook & served it separately.

They never disappoint us! They were able to accommodate my two daughters and I with very little notice today. Not to mention their chefs balance the art of presentation with taste so well, all the while making my daughters and I feel like we were VIP. Big mahalos!

From the moment we walked in it was awesome!! Luke our waiter and Rory our chef!! They were terrific! We sat with the most gracious and loving family!

I have been going to Tanaka of Tokyo for almost two decades. We just love the consistent service, the staff and the food is so good! I just had the waygu steak and it just melts in your mouth. They have something for everyone. My son has seafood allergies and the chef made sure he cooked the sea food last. They want to make sure you have the best experience and they will cater to your family wants and needs. Tanaka of Tokyo is our go to restaurant for lunch, dinner and all our family celebrations. Tanaka of Tokyo is locally owned and operated by the Tanaka family. You can enjoy the atmosphere, service and food while supporting local. Another amazing birthday celebration at Tanaka of Tokyo! This is the gold standard for teppan style cooking. Service is amazing. Chefs are always fun and extremely talented. The best quality of meats/seafood and veggies, but their sauce is really unmatched. Fried rice upgrade is a must!
