1st time here. Didn't know this place existed. Parking was hard to find, probably because it was around lunch time and on Sunday. Found street parking. The service was good and the food came out fast. We had the strawberry pancakes and the kimchi egg/fried rice. Awesome presentation and the food was excellent.
Our second time here… best dish was the Aloha French Toast, tons of fruit, fluffy French toast, it was great. Worse dish was the BAE eggs Benedict. The pork belly was so huge but lacked flavor and the middle was dry and chewy. The salad and tots on it were much better than the Benedict. Had a side of fried rice ($6) and that was very tasty, good portion for kids meal and to share. Jorge was our server and he was awesome and very friendly. Atmosphere was good but probably my last time coming here.
Food: 4-5/5 depending on dish you get.
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: Casual
Value: 4.5/5 portions are good sized, especially for the Benedict’s
Nice big variety of items on the menu, dishes are flavorful and tasty. Above average brunch place for my taste buds, gives this place a 5 star for me.
Value is relative depending on where you are from, but being based in the bay myself, it’s a good value.
We came for Sunday brunch as I have heard so many good things about this place. We put our name in and it was about a one hour wait. Normally I would never wait that long but since they were shops nearby, we decided to walk around. After 30 minutes we went to check our status and lo and behold our name wasn't even on the list despite us putting our name and phone number in their system. However, the hostess said she would just seat us right away because of the error.
I had the Ube french toast $17.95 and seems to be one of the best sellers and well worth it. It was delicious. I ordered a side of house potatoes $5 which was pretty tasty and well seasoned. The Mr. had the big breakfast combo which was underwhelming and the spam seemed undercooked for his liking. He did enjoy the French toast that I ordered. The ube has a slight hint of coconut which is delicious and I am thrilled they do not pour it over the French toast but came as a side.
Service was pretty good as they kept refilling the Illy coffee we ordered.
Four stars is for the French toast and customer service. Make sure you come early or are not starving because the wait is usually pretty long. With that being said, I will come back and try other things like that eggs Benedict which look scrumptious.
It was good and really fast getting the food to the table. I did corn beef benadict and fat pig fried rice both were decent, but weren't totally wow. Next time I'll try some sweeter stuff because they look ridiculously good.
I thought that the food was so good especially for me cause it’s gluten friendly so I had the best breakfast platter ever this is my favorite meal 🤩🤩🤩
Ate two meals here while visiting Oahu in July 2023. Service and staff were great both visits. Food was very good. Hubby had the Ube pancakes (purple in color) and I was pleasantly surprised but how tasty they were. I had the Loco Moco during first visit and the eggs Benedict during the second period both were delicious! Would definitely visit again. You may want to get on the yelp waitlist though prior to arriving.
The group wanted to go here because we read it had good reviews. Ordered ube pancake, potbelly oinker. Their pancake did not disappoint and their portions were huge. Unlimited coffee and very very nice server. Must go to when in Honolulu, Hawaii.
One of my Bff's took me here for the first time to get breakfast.
We were seated quickly and we BOTH had the Pink Drink. I had the Ube Waffles. They were SO beautiful that I just had to take a picture...it looked SUPER delicious 😋 My friend had the fried rice w/Portuguese sausage, and egg on top and pork rinds going around... she REALLY enjoyed it 💯😋
We had a VERY attentive waitress, which is ALWAYS a good thing 🤙🏾
Their menu options are ALL delicious and, if I was on 'Oahu, I would DEFINITELY try EVERY item 😋 HIGHLY recommended 💯🤙🏾😍
Amazing breakfast. This place is a must-visit if you like taro-based products. Their taro latte is so good I ended up getting two cups. The ube waffle was equally good. The coconut flavor is relatively strong (which I like) so be wary in those who are not huge coconut fans. The rich purple color of the ube waffle makes for an incredible presentation as well. The Portuguese sausages were a letdown and not nearly as good as those at some of the other places. Overall, however, an excellent place with great food.
P.S. I cannot upload the picture of the ube waffle with this post for whatever reason, so I will be uploading it independently.
