Johnny Apples

We have Christmas eve dinner at Johnny Apples every year but this year was extra delicious! We had a party of 12 and every single person loved what they ordered. Michelle took care of us and she was great as far as service! Can't say enough good things and I had to take pictures to show all the delicious meals!

Picked up Thanksgiving dinner for 5. Everything was very good, stuffing was exceptional and the portions were generous. My only disappointment was the gravy, which was too salty and lacked flavor, don't think they added any pan drippings. But I had made turkey gravy in advance so we would have extra. We will definitely be ordering again next year!

I have driven past Johnny apples for literally decades and never dined there until about a year ago. It is very good. In particular I like the beef & horseradish sandwich in fococia bread. I don't know why, but I tried the cheesesteak once. Let me save you some time: don't. It's not a cheesesteak. It's a "Philly" 😏 But other than that one mistake, my food has been good. My full blood Irish father in law gave the stamp of approval on the pot pie. My half blood Irish wife has only ever had good things to say about her meals. The place always seems dead when we go, which is in stark contrast to how I remember seeing it 20 years ago when driving by on buck Rd. Back then it was always slammed. Now, it's looking pretty run down inside, with water stained walls and ceiling, cracked drywall, and just general wear and aging. It's unfortunate, because the food is still very good. I don't really understand what happened.

Delicious, first class all the way. Fine food done the way it's supposed to be done. It's Christmas time and we revisited Johnny Apples. We had great meal, place was decorated nicely, people were super friendly, drinks cold delicious. You should try this place for an enjoyable time. We had New England Clam Chowder, salad, Broiled Scallops, Asparagus and mashed potatoes, it was perfect. So Enjoy. This was a new place for us, having driven by many times, so it was time to try. Clean, friendly & helpful staff, mixture of new and stately decor. Good range of meal offerings, pretty much any beverage you might desire. They offer a wide variety of meal specials as well. We started with bacon wrapped scallops, mmmm. We had the Prime Rib, and Veal MichaelAngelo, with mashed potatoes, broccoli and a salad, finishing with a slice of Raspberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and well prepared, they must have a chef. The prices and quantity of the food were reasonable. We are planning to go back there soon.
