Chicago Hot Breads

I’ve been a customer of this restaurant for 10+ years. I’ve seen ownership change many times, flavors change, prices change—everything. One thing that has annoyed me the most is that they keep the trash can right at the entrance but not only that, they keep the disposable spoons we are expected to eat with, RIGHT NEXT to the trash. It’s absolutely disgusting and it gets me every time I go. They even have a stack of Indian newspapers sitting right on top of the trash can closest to the door. I love their butterscotch cake; I haven’t tried the food lately but it’s decent. But I really really wish after all this time they could have the decency to make it more cleaner for people to enjoy eating. All it takes is moving the spoons to a more cleaner germ free area. You can even give it to customers but putting them practically touching the trash is a safety concern. And I would love if I could exit the restaurant without having to touch, slide next to, or smell the garbage/food waste of others.

I was supposed to pick up the cake for my kid's cake smash session at 11 am. I reached here to pick up at 11.30 and they still don't have it. They don't know when their delivery guy is going to come with the cake. I am going to be late for my session. Google should allow to give negative reviews to such restaurants. If you are planning to buy a cake from here, save yourself. Don't ever come here.

Worst customer service ever. I had ordered a pick up at 10am at Hoffman Estates location days in advanced. When I got to the store at 10:15am they weren’t even open. I attempted to call them and no answer. Cake was already paid for and we had to wait 2+ hours for the cake to arrive at the location from our pick up time. They keep telling us 5 more minutes for 2 hours when we kept asking for money back. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. Much better bakeries with better service in the area.

I went there again knowingly the quality is going down by day, man I ordered dahi puri, God knows what it was, definitely no dahi in it or taste whatsoever and the falooda is just run down water of some ice cream. This place should shut down. They put raw noodles in faluda. Rip off, bad quality no taste. I would not ever recomend this place even they offer free food. Also I was made to pay in cash ZERO STAR

One of the worst food/ snack experience: the food is not even worth putting in mouth . We had ordered Dahi Vada, Sev Puri ; Papadi chat . All of them , trust me All of them Was worth a negative ratings : they will get business as it’s Chicago but worst food ever . We sitting in front of the Hot breads and writing . Hoffman estates branch don’t know how to talk to customer even . The lady said paapdi chat is made that way , lot of Paapi ; and little sprinkle of sev and tamarind chutney . It so sad that we spend 50$ worth of chat items. Please don’t go here for chaats for sure . We went and told the Owner , aye just said it’s that’s way .
