O'charley's

Good Food Served by Great Staff ... I grew up in Nashville and hadn't eaten at an O'Charley's in nearly 40 years. I remember the good reputation they used to have back then. I convinced my husband to give it a try even though we usually tend to avoid a franchise and look for "local" food while traveling. Wow! We were both impressed. They have some sort of garlicky buttery mashed potato dish that was incredible - the salads were awesome, the whole meal was good. Honestly what made it a great meal was our waiter Adam. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, personable and attentive.

They always are excellent with to-go orders. Their quality is consistent and they go the extra mile with packing you food in smart ways that avoid soggy burger buns or anything that is typical with to-go orders. Even if I enjoy another restaurant’s dine in options more, I’d rather choose this location for any to-go orders. They always score five stars.

I am finding it hard to even give one star. But it seems that I have to in order to write a review. Let me start with the young fellow they works the front, he is very friendly and has a good attitude. He is the best thing and at this moment from the past few experiences that I have had is the only thing good going for this restaurant chain and especially at this location. Hixson Pike. The food on the other hand is not good at all, not even worth serving to the public. The rolls are old, and I was told that they were going to make fresh rolls, but to my surprise they did not. And the salad looked good, but you should NOT be placing the dressing containers inside the container that is laying on your salad. That is NOT, sanitary, let me repeat, that is NOT sanitary. I understand that the younger ones do not understand maybe about food service, but most importantly food preparation, but that falls into the management, and I am going to say that evidently they seem to be lacking. You do not send old, stale rolls, under no circumstances, and you do not place the plastic dressing containers of shu kind inside with the salad. It makes me wonder if the salad mix is even eatable. If you need some help in serving food, then please allow me to assist. I am not apologizing for my comment, and I will be bringing my food back to the restaurant and they can make it right. It seems since Covid restaurants are slacking. I understand that you may be short handed, but if you can not sustain then close your doors, bc you are just taking up space that can be used by another.

Glad to see that Susie is back from surgery, I missed her service and smile. The potato soup leaves a lot to be desired but the happy hour prices are great. The boy who sat me was very rude. But I have always had good experiences at the bar with Susie so I won’t let him stop me from coming in. I’m hoping 2022 will be a better year for this restaurant, they have struggled too much in the past and are due!!

I haven't been to this O Charley's in about 15 years. Decided to stop by for lunch today, Wednesday. The food was very good and very hot. Our server Gillian or Gillybean as the receipt indicated was so nice and so sweet.. She provided us with some of the best service we have ever had. We asked her when she worked again because we wanted to request her as our waitress. We will definitely be back for tenders and probably a hamburger because they looked so good! Oh and free pie Wednesday really helped make the visit great. 😀
