The cafe is small, but full of delightful smells, flavors, and people! Service was spot on despite most tables being full & the server took time to explain the menu, make suggestions, and answer questions. As soon as a glass was near empty it was quickly refilled & the entire experience was quick and enjoyable. And then there's the food! We ordered the yucca fries to start & enjoyed the sriracha aioli too. My husband ordered lentils with rice & steak (came with avocado slices & an entire fried sweet plantain) and raved about the steak. He shared the other items and I found the lentils & plantain perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ordered the shrimp & salmon with coconut sauce and yucca cakes which was served with broccoli. The shrimp were okay (my husband loved them) but the salmon, yucca cakes, and coconut sauce were absolutely amazing. The salmon was cooked perfectly (a little too much salt, but I'll overlook that easily as the entire dish was wonderful), the yucca cakes seasoned and cooked just right, the broccoli was cooked just so, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. Neither of us could finish our plates there was just too much good food on the table. We really wanted to get the bread pudding for dessert but were way too full by the end of the meal. We will be returning!
We have been to the Fresh Pot Cafe three times in the past couple of weeks, after having just discovered it. Absolutely love it! We're slowly making our way through the entire menu - everything is just so dang good, fresh and illustrates the integrity of the owners (who are also the cooks, servers and cashier).
Pictured below is the Spicy Shrimp sandwich on a hoagie with the Sauteed Kale Salad, the Louisiana Crispy Fish sandwich on a hoagie with the Strawberry Spinach salad and our appetizer of Fried Yucca with a chipotle mayo dipping sauce. Very delicious sandwiches with fresh ingredients! Our favorite meals thus far are the Fried Pork and Shrimp and Crispy Grits! 🤤🤤🤤
The fried yucca is a must during every visit! The hospitality provided is wonderful and pretty rare these days. Their food is made with so little oil that although you'll be stuffed after eating, you won't be weighed down without energy afterwards.
The fusion of Ecuadorian and American cuisine is successful at Fresh Pot Cafe. Anyone can walk in and find something to eat, especially the apprehensive. Come in for some chicken parmesan one day then build up the the mouth watering fried pork the next.
Awesome service and atmosphetere. My first time eating Ecuadorian food. Delicious! I even got to buy a hand made Alpaca sweatshirt! Definitely going back!
WOW ... Absolutely incredible! Somehow we just started heading this direction, looked up at the sign and understood why. ECUADORIAN FOOD? MMMMMmmm! We got the Quinoa Salad, Yuca Fries, *Cauliflower Cream Soup* and threw a Ciabiatta bun in just for fun! Lol. Apparently Equador is not known for their breads at all, mainly more about rice & obviously their lentils. We asked our lovely waitress a few questions about the Beautiful Country and got some great info in return. Its so amazing to see how grand life is and to open your eye to what may be right in your own BACKYARD!. Muaoh👌🍽
Great little restaurant! I tried the shrimp and crispy grits, so delicious! I'll be back for sure. Also got a side of fried plantains with pico de gallo, so tasty. Great food!
I love this place. The food is great. The place is so clean even to the floorboards. I dropped my phone between the booth and the wall and when we pulled the booth away from the wall for me to retrieve it I did not hesitate to reach down and pick it up. I have seen some places I would not have done that but this place was spotless. They have been there for a while now and if they weren't so fastidious it cold have been ugly. GO give them a try!
Awesome pasta dinner and my all time favorite dessert crème brûlée, it melted in my mouth.
Oh, my goodness! The food and atmosphere here are amazing. The family who owns this restaurant could not be friendlier or more accommodating. I have an unusual food allergy, and they remember every single time to make sure my food is not only delicious, but safe for me to eat. Although it is a small restaurant, their menu is diverse. You never feel hurried, but at the same time, the servers are not intrusive. I have never had a bad meal here. I LOVE this restaurant!
