We love it here. Good for local meals. Great won ton mine or breakfast dishes are also very popular. They have a sweet bread toast that is outstanding. And their bentos come with a variety of popular local dishes in one plate so you don't have to choose. We as a family keep returning because the food is delicious and the price is affordable. They have a restaurant side which is the side this review is about and also order over the counter and take it with you or you can choose to dine in their less formal area. Either way the food is great!
Our small group of retirees go here for breakfast every three weeks at 7AM. It has excellent food and at reasonable prices.
They also have a take out sandwich selection along with a small convenience store. Their building(s) are a little older.

Been serving burgers for 30 years, in Hilo. Reasonable prices and good food. A local Hawaiian diner restaurant & to go. They serve a great burger for about 5 or 6 bucks. Serve breakfast and lunch, all day. Breakfast - Lunch and Dinner
I had the gravy cheeseburger with fries. The fries were crunchy and fresh. The burger had 2 patties, lettuce, thin sliced onion, cheese and gravy for dipping. Very messy and so ono. Cuz had Chinese chicken salad. Huuuuge bowl with romaine, carrot, peanuts, cabbage. The dressing is delish.
Great value. Generous hot n ono portions. Fast service for takeout. Chicken cutlet is the best on the island!
A local gem with a modest demeanor. If you like seafood this is the place to go in Hilo. The fish servings are large and delicious and you will pay more elsewhere.
Katsu was overdone n almost impossible to chew , couldn't eat last 2 pieces.

Service was super fast, beef stew plate served hot and was very tasty! Price can't be beat!
