I went in with a EBT card looking to see if it was possible to buy ice cream with EBT and the manager was very understanding and even helped me pick out the best ice cream flavors, toppings are free and I'd go here everyday if the location wasn't inconvenient, it was a bit too crowded though. But all in all, I definitely recommend, especially for ice cream. Ice cream price is reasonable and they have multiple flavors, I would recommend the Superman seeing as it has a flavor every bit you take.
This place has always had the nicest staff. They are friendly say hello to you when you walk in the door and you’re always helpful if you need something special.
Last night I watched the two workers, one the manager and the other cashier, handle a difficult situation with a customer who was acting badly and who had stolen from the store before.
Their level of professionalism impressed me so much, as they remain calm and more polite and respectful to the person even while he was cursing and causing a bit of a stir. These two young ladies should be commended for their professionalism.
That aside, the store has a great selection of ice cream drinks fountain beverages ready-made foods and snacks. It is my go to as it’s two blocks from my house and I’ve been going there for 20 years. Love it!
Stopped here this night walking in the Short North and really needed caffeine. So I enter the store, take a cup near those espresso machines and fill it with Cappuccino and proceed to pay. They just said it's on the house 😃 Also a lot more spacious and quiet than other coffeeshops in the Short North if you can ignore the fact it's not made with "real" espresso...
