High Point Bagel

Why am I just now eating here?!? I had lunch on a Wednesday, Sunday breakfast with the family, and brunch again that Monday. That was in 1 week! So needless to say, we loved it. The bagels are so soft and fresh they melt in your mouth. Their strawberry cream cheese on the cranberry muffin is a must!! Be careful this place gets busy fast. There were 2 people ahead of us then after we ordered all of a sudden there were 25 people here. Well worth it!

Great variety of bagels like egg, pumpernickel, and cinnamon crunch. It reminds me of bagels I ate, growing up in Long Island NY. People there are friendly and helful. They give all their left over bagels to homeless shelters. They are always looking for help. Very clean store with delicious side dishes and fresh coffee. Sit down tables and chairs.

Owner has become complacent. Bagels are still coming out over proved, over baked (often burned), joined ends are apparent. They are not putting their best foot forward. Sadly, there is a lot of denial at play when this happens. They still think they are the best, but truly they are not. They will put out a sign to solicit votes from customers to be voted best by Yes Weekly without doing anything different. He needs to ask himself, "What do I need to do to elevate my standards?" I will happily edit this review accordingly if things should improve. Oh yeah... and all the HPU branding needs to be cleared out. Any image consultant would tell you that is the first thing that needs to go. Sure they get a kick back from displaying it, but is it really worth it? Trust me, it is not needed in order to attract student customers.
