Food was delicious! I happily ate the leftovers and can’t wait to go back. Definitely a must try. It’s also a stones throw from the Hicksville train station. About 6 tables total and some bar-style seating at the front. Drinks are bottled but the food is made in house. Delicious!!
The place is clean, food is good with good portions and reasonably priced. The downside is that service is slow and water is not provided. You are forced to buy bottled water.
Great place for takeout. Their rice bowl is so worth it. $8 for a huge portion enough for 2 meals. I would skip on the drinks a little too sweet for my taste.
Food tastes great if you don't mind eating with plastic utensils and paper plates. It was a dreary night with heavy rain and 9pm but ppl were still coming in to eat or pick up their orders
Absolutely love the food here. The service is nice and polite, but a little bit weird. The guy was missing things, misunderstanding us, being clumsy. But he was also pretty polite and kept apologizing.
They don't have any lunch specials, and meal prices run about $13, which is about average for this type of food.
Tip: the tomato soup and the garlic chicken are fantastic.
Great little restaurant, good causal setting area and reasonable prices, something new, you can call it Indian chipotle
This was our first visit at this place. We had party of 17 people. It was almost closing time for the place. But the employees at the place welcomed us with great smile and provide us exceptional food service.
The food was really good and when it comes to price for the food, you can’t get better Dhaba style Indian food at any other place. Highly recommended. Great food, Great Service.
Will definitely visit again if I ever end up in Hicksville any time soon.
I ate in the restuarant and first impression is that it's great for a date who loves Indian spices. The food had plenty of it and i love that. I know that some might not like, so be warned that everything is heavily seasoned. I loved the tomato soup the most. The music wasn't just Indian, it was a good mix of American and Indian.
Food was very good. I didn't have anything there I did not like. What upset me a little though was I had asked for lemon and water and they brought me out a little piece of lime and tap water and charged me $1.50. I have been ordering that for years and they are the only restaurant that ever charged me. I will return to the restaurant, but I'll be sure to order a drink that is truly worth a $1.50. Overall, I must say, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the music n the food was very very enjoyable. 🤗
This place has my heart!! Absolutely delicious lip smacking food. I have been there twice so far and both my visits were a treat to my palate. We had garlic chicken curry with garlic naan, chicken vindaloo both of which were served with rice. We had specifically asked for the spice level to be "Indian spicy" and they did not disappoint us. The garlic chicken was a masterpiece! Creamy, rich texture with tikka like chicken pieces and a perfect blend of spices. Moreover, this place provides value for money, with good quantities and reasonable prices. Will surely be back!
