Dos Amigos

Dos Amigos has been my favorite Mexican restaurant since it was across from the racetrack but the food has really went down hill the pass few months. Ordered ACP was hardly any cheese on it and the chicken was bland and tasted awful. This made the 3rd time in a roll the food has been bad After be loyal to them for over 20 years its time to find another Mexican restaurant

If you are ever in Hickory, North Carolina and are hankering for some Mexican food the. You have found the right spot. The service was very fast and the food was top notch. Couldn't ask for anything better. Portions are are just the right size and the food was beyond amazing. They have amazing drink specials as well as a great lunch menu. Great prices. Don't pass this one up folks. You'll be sorry if you did!!

Service was abysmal. Drinks - wrong. We ordered water and Sprite was delivered. I asked for a White Russian 'lite on the ice' and the entire glass was ice. Not a single time did we get offered a refill on our "water". The food order was entirely incorrect. Asked for bean and cheese burrito, and wouldn't you know it - grond beef came out. Not one time did our serve ask how the food was. He didn't even deliver it, and he had 3 other tables in the section he was attending to and had to walk by us. Service was an absolute joke. It was so bad we got up and simply waited at the register for our check; we didn't want to wait any longer. The food: even though it was wrong - it was amazingly good. The enchilada sauce was fantastic and had great seasoning and flavor. And the tres leche was satisfying. Perfectly dense with plenty of tres leche and heavy whip cream. I VERY RARELY give bad reviews, but this was definitely warranted. Speaking to "management" was a crash and burn situation. There was no way to make our case. It was so bad our teenage children noticed.
