Zigzag Scallop

I've eaten several things on this menu and have yet to have a bad meal. Service is excellent (we love Krystyna, Joseph, Andi, and Gale) they always take such great care of us. The peel and eat shrimp are the best we've had in the area. Same with the key lime pie and mozzarella fins. Can't find them better anywhere around. My go-to is usually the fish or chicken tacos but on special occasions I'll have the scallops on a bed of pineapple coconut rice. YUM! This is by far our favorite place to dine in the Hernando Beach area and we bring friends and family here any chance we get because it's always a hit. Definitely call in advance for reservations, especially during peak times like weekends and evenings. The outside dining area is great when the weather permits (though it is covered for shade and rain). They have live music on Thursday and Friday nights out on the patio. They also makes the best margaritas that are $4 all day every day. Their special holiday menus are awesome, too.

This is my husband and I’s second time at zig zag scallops and it was just as delicious as the first time. We drove an hour and a half just to come here for lunch. We had the shrimp appetizer, salad and taco entrees and the coffee mousse dessert. Joseph was our waiter and was super kind with a sense of humor. We will not be waiting 6 months for another visit!

We went here roughly a year ago and loved it. Had a super long wait time, which we expected and made the best of it. Food was great. Decided to go again last night and not much has changed in the way of staffing and service. That being said, we still expected a wait and totally understand the situation. The real issue is at this point they should know how many people and dinners they can handle being short staffed. We were told 45 min., an hour and a half later they sat the couple that walked in before us, can't be much longer....well they unseat them and they continued to wait. We decide at almost 2 hr. wait to go somewhere else. When were leaving we told the two girls up front we too hungry and could no longer wait. They did apologize for the kitchen being on "hold" which we were NEVER told! Communication people!

Phenomenal service Kendra. They were short staffed and she was running like crazy, but continued with great service and making you feel like you were her #1 customer. Food was fantastic 😋, sitting by the water and watching the shrimp boats getting ready to head out was delightful. We Highly recommend this place. Come on by and enjoy like we did.

Not gonna lie. As a local and have been coming here since we moved here 2 years ago. If the new ownership equals what we received tonight you won't last long. No burger toppings, barely Luke warm shrimp tacos and small sides of fries will definitely shut you down. From my last review this is being nice. We love the original food and service but this won't last.
