Great food and atmosphere - this will be the busiest corner in Hendo for years to come. 70 bourbons, lots of craft beer on tap at the bar. Interesting southern food like pork belly, pimento poppers, meatloaf, and a killer spicy Mac & cheese where all awesome. If you think Southern food means Cracker Barrel fare, this isn’t it. 3 stars better than that. Highly recommend!!!
Totally amazing from the minute you walk in the door! Service was great and the food is off the hook!! Casey and his crew have created a sauce that I would buy by the gallon and put on everything I eat� I will never have to cross the bridge to eat again�
This is my second time this week at Hometown Roots. Great service! The music is fun. The food is flavorful and fresh. My salad had nice dark greens with tomatoes that tasted as if they came right out of the garden. Tonight I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. My favorite of all of North America!!!! Rich and deep flavors without burning the top layer off of my tongue! 🌶🌶🌶 The cornbread is so tasty I am sure it is a sin. 😇. Now, should I try the banana pudding? 🍌💗
Fun menu and inventive cocktail list. The line out the door on a Saturday night let me know that it was a solid choice. If Rebecca and Rex are at the bar you are in for a treat. They know how to pair a great beer or cocktail with whatever you order and we'll make sure you have a good time. (I know it's hard to take a picture of a bathroom sink but I thought it was clever. I also like the mini pickle jars that they use when you taste a beer. Both go to show how the restaurant is dedicated toward a fun customer experience)
The food was surprisingly quick made and completely fresh, looked beautiful and tasted amazing!
They serve a large meal that's beautifully garnished and savory in every bite.
Our waiter, Travis, was absolutely wonderful and a joy to have! He was extremely kind and patient, such a comfort to have around.
This place is so nice, I recommend it highly if you are looking for a truly southern experience.
The atmosphere was fabulous and the food was worth the price. The smoked meatloaf was great.
Have to recommend the pimento cheese fritters. The Brussels sprouts were our only negative, but they were nice enough to replace them with the fritters.
I can't believe 1 of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at is here in Henderson Kentucky! All around GREAT!!! Food , prices , service , is some of the best in the United States!
My pork chop wasn't cooked all the way through, they threw it back on the grill and still wasn't all the way done. But I will be honest the flavor of the food made up for it. The waitress was very respectful, and the atmosphere was awesome. This will not stop me from giving them a second try.
First time to eat here. Was in the area and asked Google what was close. We were not disappointed. Great food, great service. Tried the deviled egg munchie. Never had a deep fried deviled egg before. You have to try them. Will return when in the area.
Very good place to go and eat the food was very well done the service was really great it is high in price but well worth it
