Another outpost of the beloved local chain, kept alive for decades by Dueling cousins. (Kaspar's vs Caspar's), which holds true to the original style and quality of their founders. Sometimes, a Caspar's (Kaspar's) dog, a diet coke, and a bag of chips, are all I need for relief from hard day, or even a gourmet-weary palate. And as usual, the staff are really nice. This is old School California. Get it while you still can!
4-stars for historical and sentimental reason; 3-stars for the flavor and taste; 2-stars for the price. Although maybe 37 years late, but glad to have a first visit.
Will definitely pickup their dogs next time see it at Costco.
The dogs were good and the server was great. There was only one lady on duty and she was extremely busy but she was efficient and courteous. Also, she was very attentive to sanitary hygiene. It was awesome to watch her change her gloves after each money transaction.

We were told to check out this hot dog spot by someone who remembers these hot dogs nostalgically from their childhood in Hayward, so we were excited to be there and get the full experience.
Really good hot dogs for a fair price. We loved the experience of sitting at the counter and watching hot dogs be made up and sent out.
The only complaint is that they do not have restrooms for the public, and there doesn't seem to be any restrooms very close.
Casper's Hot Dogs is a classic. The C Street location is a nice place to pick up some hot dogs and walk across the street and enjoy them in the park that used to be the Hayward Library. Super nice workers and great classic food.
I'm handicapped and so appreciate the people that work there they actually came out brought the hot dogs to me I was very blessed and those people are awesome that's why I give them a 5 plus the hot dogs are so good I usually eat about four of them everytime I tell a friend that but doesn't know how many I eat they say what I've been going there for years I highly recommend this Casper's Hot Dogs for anyone out of the area and want to have a good tasting hot dog to come on by they've been there for years
