Eugene's Sausage And Fries

This place has GREAT hot dogs and brats. I first discovered them at the Eavesdrop brewery but after a recent hike I saw that they had this location in Haymarket (sorry for tracking in some dirt, guys!). I'm glad I stopped in! Outdoor and indoor seating is nice and there's a u-shaped bar that you can sit at and chat and hang out. The staff was very friendly and engaging. I had the Reuben Dog (a brat with cheese, sauerkraut, pastrami and 1000 Island dressing) and the Southern Hospitality Dog (chili, cheese and a hot dog). Both were served on a phenomenal pretzel bun that really added to the taste. The fries...the fries are outstanding! Do yourself a favor and get some. They serve tap beer and have a soda fountain with Boylans which is a rare treat as well as bottled drinks. One last thing - they have shakes. I didn't get one, but the guy next to me did and it looked amazing. I will definitely be going back.

So glad I finally found this place. Got a to go order and they were the first restaurant ever to put the cheese for the cheese fries on the side so they don't get soggy! Thank you. Fries were great. They have beer and a Boylans soda machine! First I've ever seen. Food is exactly what you want it to be like upscale ballpark food that is worth the price. It's messy but delicious and man I will be back.

I love this place. This was my first time. There need to be more of these restaurants everywhere. I had the chicken parm and fries and it was fantastic. The fries were the best ever. Can wait to get back there. Lots of menu choices and the one thing that makes all food taste better, a friendly staff. (The menu font is not bad either)

Tried for the first time today. They did not disappoint! I got the Ruben, regular fries (which are seasoned and are awesome), and the chocolate milkshake. The Ruben is on a pretzel bun which held up to all the toppings and the 10-12 minute drive home. The fries were also fresh and still very warm when I got home. Will definitely be coming back and am bringing dad with me!

Visiting the area for a few days, thought we'd give the place a try. SO glad we did - the food was outstanding! The toppings were very fresh and tasty, the sausages were cooked just right, and the fries were excellent. (hint: you get a LOT of fries, so we found that two orders of gourmet fries easily fed 4 adults). We did take-out, but had a chance for a quick beer while we waited. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. Will absolutely come back next time we're in town.

Drove 40 minutes to get Banh Mi hotdog. SOOO worth the drive. Great food, drinks, atmosphere and service. We ordered Banh Mi, Reuben, Spicy Southern hotdogs with pretzel buns. Also, I strongly recommend getting the Elote fries. It's so good! Their fountain sodas have pure sugar cane in them. Will come back for their milkshakes and charcuterie board next time. Had great conversations with Todd the man, and Faith was very friendly.
