Big Apple Pizzeria

Big Apple has great white 🦈 pizza! Today I tried the spinach calzone and it was so good! It was crispy on the outside and cheesy gooey goodness on the inside. My daughter ate her spaghetti with butter, too, so that was a win! I got a slice to go for later. The overall theme is NYC, and some of the decor is on point, others, not so much? I like the subway map in the waiting area, but the fashion bags in the bathroom are sort of *meh. The bathrooms are always clean, though! Side note: My daughter really likes their sandwich board sign in the ordering area.

During this 2023 Big Apple was our go to spot for deliveries, pick ups and the occasional sit down and relax meals. We Always had great service and great food. Thank yall looking forward to 2024!!!

Big Apple in Havelock went above and beyond for me. In a rush trying to figure out dinner and what everyone wanted including my two young children I mistakenly ordered myself the wrong thing, and I didn’t realize until it was delivered and we were sitting down to eat. I wanted a chef salad and ordered a garden salad, so my salad was missing the meat part that I was craving so badly. Normally it wouldn’t be such a big problem but, I should mention now that I am pregnant with crazy hormones. I started crying because it wasn’t what I wanted. In desperation I called asking if they could just cut up some meat and I would drive out to pay and pick it up so I could add the meat to my salad. When I apologized for my crazy emotions and crying on the phone and told them I was pregnant they insisted that they bring me the salad I wanted free of charge and that they understood. They took my address and said they would be delivering it within a few minutes and not to drive out. I thanked them so much. Once off the phone I started crying again from happiness because these amazing people understood my emotions and pregnancy cravings and didn’t make me feel crazy. They arrived very quickly and hand delivered me my food with a smile on there face and told me congratulations on my pregnancy and also refused to take any money I offered. I came inside to eat. Unpacked my food and not only found an amazing salad but a huge piece of strawberry cheesecake. I am so very thank for such an amazing restaurant and staff to show me such kindness, when I was the one who ordered the wrong salad. Thank you.

I struggle with my opinions of this place. It's more like 3.5 stars. The prices could be better, but everything is expensive right now anyways. The burgers are above average, but nothing special. The pizza is really good, but not necessarily the best. The marinara could use a little work. The garlic knots are are basically plain knots. The flavor is pretty lacking. The garlic parmesan fries are the best thing on their menu. The staff is always very friendly and the restaurant is always very clean. I certainly recommend eating here as the food is good. I don't want my critique to sound like I'm saying the food is bad or anything, it's far from that. But if you're hoping for something that knocks your socks off, your mileage may vary.

I’m from Havelock but am living in Texas and came to visit for the holidays. The restaurant has upgraded so much and the seating by and flow is great! The pizza is delicious and the variety of the menu is great for Havelock. The portions are a good size and they offer a variety of beer in wine in addition to non-alcoholic beverages. I was very impressed that my long time favorite pizza place has made some amazing changes! Enjoy!
