I have to edit my earlier review. It must be another hit and miss kind of restaurant. Hubby went in today to pick up some lunch for me. * 4/12/22 The fish was hard and discolored. Tarter sauce tasted soured. Fries were hard in some spots and soggy in others. What is going on here? What happened? Such a shame. Money for lunch wasted. No lunch and very frustrated. I truly believe that this place needs a lot more work but, I have to say that when my son and I had lunch there a few days ago - it was actually very good. The food was made fresh. It was hot. The place was really clean and the staff was respectful and really nice. I will visit this place again.

The french fries were room temperature stale half of them couldn't even chew brought him home and threw him out in the yard to the wildlife had the two-piece fish one piece of fish was hot and fresh and tasted good but the other one had been sitting around for a while so long that one end of it was hard as a rock. I guess if I went back I'd have to ask for things to be made fresh.

The best battered fish I have ever had. I have had fish at other places where you get really thin sliced fish with alot of batter meaning more batter than fish. The fish at Captain D's is very good, high quality with excellent prices. Staff is very helpful, working hard to provide excellent service. Definitely recommend! I wish we had a location in Johnson County on the Kansas side, location closer and I would visit frequently.

It was 5:00 p.m., so it was not busy. However, as soon as I walked in I was asked if my order was to go!!👍 She took my order quickly and was very nice. Though prices have gone up, I was pleased with the value I received.

Order #4 fish meal once returned back to work it looked and tast like CHICKEN. Call spoke to Manager about. He re fixed the order and mentioned they have a new fish in now until the regular fish comes in. He also mentioned other Customers said the same taste like Chicken. However, I received the same not so good chicken supposed to be Fish.

The food was good, and the service was great. The lady at the register was super friendly. I loved the fish sandwich. They had a great colelaw. For a little place, it was pretty clean. We enjoyed everything, honestly.

Staff was friendly and did a great job even though she was the only one running the drive thru, taking the inhouse orders and delivering food to tables once it was done. The only thing she wasn't doing was cooking. She deserved a raise. Place was very clean. Definitely a great experience.

Great food. Great service. Busy time and had to wait for table to be cleaned. Delicious as always. Miss having one in our home town.
