Very good food. A lot of people with family, kids and friends come here. One strange thing which I experienced was when I ordered a margarita I was asked to show my DL/ID by the server. Well, may be their policy I guess. But no where else I was asked to show my ID when I ordered a margarita. Anyways that was not a big deal, the food compensate it all. The chicken tacos are delicious. This place is busy on weekends but you will get a place in no time. We were traveling and hungry and we made the best decision to stop here to eat.

My family and I have been coming here for decades - it is a special place in Harrisonburg. We come here for numerous occasions: lunch, dinner, dine in, large take out orders for parties and etc.
Their food is the greatest! Food is well seasoned, delicious and fresh. Drinks are wonderful. Menu offers varies types of foods & drinks. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Harrisonburg. I think that most local people here are very familiar with El Charro.
I feel like customer service at this location can be a best lacking and a hit or miss.

The food was delicious, and the margarita was fantastic! They did not cheap out on the alcohol.
Now, why the four stars... There was nothing wrong with the food or drinks, but we got there a little later, around 830, and they closed at 10. Around 9:45, all the employees started to hang out around where we were sitting, talking, and laughing; meanwhile, we were still eating. Then all of a sudden, they began to vacuum around our table; this was before 10 pm. We politely asked if they could wait until we were done eating before vacuuming; the waiter smiled and said yes, then all the employees started to talk loudly and laugh.

We went after ⛪️ with a group ranging in age from 5 to 80 yrs. Wonderful food, we all ordered different meals and we enjoyed our lunch. We sat at a spacious table for ten and talked about wedding flowers and told stories. The waiter was attentive, served us chips and salsa immediately, and kept our drinks filled. We chatted w the owner on the way in and out. He promised a big event on Mother's Day--there will be a 🪅 M. Band 🎼 playing during lunch and dinner‼️

Excellent!! Nice and clean and spacious restaurant with fresh food and friendly service. We loved the chicken quesadilla and tacitos we ordered. Also the chorizo and egg dish was amazing!! Jarritos for a soda and we were good to go!! Enjoyable dinner my Wife & I had!!!

The fish tacos are much better than any Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Be sure to ask for fresh lime to squeeze on them. Never eaten anything here that wasn't delicious. The service is also great.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Harrisonburg. You used to get what you paid for and the service was always good. I’m not sure what has happened but this isn’t the same place and I will no longer be returning. For starters we had an order worth $60, we order extra cheese on all three meals with a side of spicy sauce. Not only did we not get our extra cheese that they charged us for but when I went in to get it fix. Who ever was at the front desk had the audacity to charge me for the spicy sauce twice after they got it wrong the first time. They also messed up on our drink order. And only gave us one bag of chips with salsa for 3 separate take out orders smh. We didn’t get any apology. They made me feel like I was crazy and I was the one who was wrong. I will never return to this location ever again in life. I highly recommend going to a different Mexican restaurant or location. Money is tight for everyone right now, please do not cheat your loyal customer out of what they are paying for it isn’t right.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I go all the time for dinner, lunch with friends, quick lunch before work, you name it and they are perfect for it! Everybody there is super nice and the food is incredible as well as the prices!!!!! I wish i could give it more than 5 stars!
