China Garden

Everything was fantastic on Christmas Eve. We walked in and had our order within 20 min. We sat and ate and they brought it to our table even though they were slammed! That was so nice of them. The general Tso and orange chicken was crispy and delicious. The low mein was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Went there for the first time today to get take out. The girl at the counter was very nice and polite I ordered chicken on a stick. Shrimp fried rice and two vegetable egg rolls. The egg rolls were crispy and very good. I asked for my shrimp to be cooked well done they were cooked great and the chicken on a stick was delicious. There was a man and woman cooking in the back they seemed nice and professional they did an awesome job. I’ll be back!!! My husband also said was really good.

After living in Charlotte for 6 years we pretty much gave up on having good Chinese take out outside of NY. We were working our way through some other take out places around Hampstead in hopes of finding something decent- china garden delivered tonight!! Pleasantly surprised at quality of food. Tastes just about the same as your hole in the wall hometown Chinese take out place back in NY- similar feel inside too with the backlit pics of food items above counter and paper menu. Love it! We’ll be back here for sure. Thanks China Garden!!

My wife and I had to move from our home in NYC to North Carolina for her work. Honestly if it was not for this place I would have gone postal. Living in North Carolina is a fate I would not wish upon my worst enemy, but this is the only NYC-style Chinese food I have had outside of NYC. Food is cheap and cooked with a skill and precision most cloth tablecloth places could only dream of. If you are from NYC this is something you understand. If you live anywhere else you expect something like Panda Express. This place meets all my requirements: - A menu on plain white paper, trifolded, no pictures, red and black ink - The standard menu that you still spend forever looking over even though you will always get the same thing - Food is made fresh to order, proteins are velveted, vegetables are cooked perfectly with the broccoli still being bright green and crisp but cooked The only complaint that I have about this place is that it tricked me into believing that NYC style Chinese food was a nationwide phenomenon. My wife and I are blessed to no longer live in that wretched state, but while we are temporarily in California, we have learned that even more than pizza and bagels the thing you cannot get here is Chinese food.
