We had a great dinner (pizza and sandwich) and it's a cool place for a game.
Friar's Tavern has the best pizza in Greenville, SC!. Order the 16" pizza. Best pizza in Greenville. It is stone-oven baked, generously PILED with fresh toppings, and full of flavor! And the handcrafted crust - WOW - Sure anybody can say "hand-tossed", but I chose the word "handcrafted" because this crust was more like a work of art. Edibile art. Friar's Tavern hands down makes the best pizza crust I've EVER tasted - and, yes, I've had pizza in Manhattan and just about everywhere else of mention. Andre was our waiter Sunday evening - great service! And I don't know which chef was back there tossing crust on June 2nd - but they are a gem of a keeper! Also this place has a large selection of beers on tap - We both had Guinness:) See y'all soon!
Enjoyed my visit, will go again. Decent service. Food was good. I don't drink, but the others in our party enjoyed the on tap options. Was able to have a conversation without screaming!
Great little place. Went for the first time for lunch. I had the Cuban and it was, as the waitress said, a large sandwich. Taste wise it was also one of the best around. The other two in my group had the steak sandwich, again a large sandwich. According to them , it had a good taste, but they would rather it had provolone cheese instead of the cheddar. the place was very clean and we had a very nice and knowledgable waitress. I'll be back again for the Hamburger next.
GUINNESS ON TAP! A great little sports pub for grown ups. Two huge screens for game day plus a number of strategically placed 32" around the room. A good selection of pub food: burgers, sandwiches, wings & pizza. And did I mention Guinness on tap?
Went to see a band Saturday, there was a $10.00 cover charge at the door. I am fine with that, but it was cash only, was not able to put it on an open tab like I do at other venues, instead I had to use the ATM conveniently located at the door and pay an ATM fee. The service was good once in, and loved the band.
The new owner has done a phenomenal job bringing this bar back to its potential! With Music Bingo on Monday, Trivia on Wednesday, karaoke with one of the best DJs In the Upstate on Friday, and live music on Saturday, as well as several pool tables and darts, there is always something to entertain you! Might I also mention the phenomenal bartenders that run this place!? Excellent service every time! Watching this place go from a grungy dive bar with previous ownership to the hottest place to be at on Woodruff Rd is amazing! If you haven’t been there since the name change, I highly suggest you go!!
This is the local bar you want to be at every day. The bartenders remember you and always have a smile on their face. They have great pool tables and darts if pool isn’t your game. They have a nice outside area to smoke and karaoke on Friday with a live band on Saturday.
Docs is such a great environment!! You never know what live band you’re gonna catch! Plus the amazing drink specials EVERYDAY!! Mad respect for the owner Bess, she always makes sure her guest feel at home and are taken care of!! Great place to go!!
Pool tables,dart boards,corn hole, & more! Inviting crowd,even on a slower night! Very spacious & has a jukebox! I just came in for drinks after dinner & it was on a trivia night (Wednesday,I believe),but I believe they also host karaoke & other events!
Good food. Good drinks. Good times.
I was hesitant to come here after some bad experiences with the previous owners, but man was I pleasantly surprised! Bess was amazing, the facilities got a major update and the live music was a nice touch! Im so happy to have found my new favorite Sunday evening spot!
