Loved my 1st impression of Habitap. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better Brunch menu and I can't wait to try dinner! Allicia was our Sunday server and she was very patient and hospitable. You can't go wrong with The Classic bowl and the Jimmy's Grits. Til next time... Thank you.
Stopped in for the first time looking forward dog friendly brunch spot on a car trip.
It is such a fantastic find! I’m only sad that we don’t live closer. It’s a large, well decorated space with a rustic/industrial vibe. They had a fantastic playlist of modern indie/oldie classics that hit just the right balance between upbeat, yet slightly mellow.
For food, my husband got the “smashville” sandwich which is Nashville hot chicken, pimento cheese on a biscuit. The chicken was so crispy and delicious. But the star was definitely the hashbrown casserole which was just sooo good. It really had a lot of depth of flavor and so cheesy!
I had the florentine omelet with a biscuit which was also good for a slighter “lighter” fare, though also still pretty generous on the cheese and hollandaise sauce so not a great spot if you’re looking for a healthy adjacent brunch but an absolutely fantastic find if you’re interested in a truly delicious meal for a pretty reasonable price.
Service was also good and friendly.
Habitap and their publicist invited us to try a couple of flights from Greenville's newest brewery, Habitual Brewing, located in the same facility. They offered a couple of appetizers to sample from the menu- the self-proclaimed "beer nerds" on staff recommending the Pimento Cheese Poppers (house made pimento cheese, served with red pepper jelly on the side, $8.95) and we selected the Hummus Plate (also with red pepper jelly, olives, crudite, naan bread, $9.95). Both of the appys exceeded expectations, and were a generous portion. We tried two flights, one on the lighter side with a wheat, and a kolsch from Habitual, paired with Peachful from Highland and a sour strawberry rhubarb from Edmund's Oast- surprisingly good, but the home team's kolsch won out in this flight. We also had four from Habitual- the favorite being the Red Ale called The Wright Stuff. But the collab with Liability Brewing, "It's Not Getting Any Smarter Out There", other than truer words have not been spoken, was a strong second favorite in this flight. The folks at Habitap really know their stuff, and it's easy to root for their success with this new venture. Candice Campbell is head brewer (she was previously at Liability), she's the only black woman head brewer in the Upstate, finding her way quite successfully in a male-dominated profession. Habitap has been close to the brewing community locally and had been tossing around the idea of adding their own brewery- they had many customers asking why that hadn't. They look at this as a way to showcase not only their own beers, but beers from all across the country. There are 50-plus beers on tap. Candice says she likes to see creative brews, but at the same time, an IPA should taste like an IPA! Both the adventurous and the more cautious beer drinkers can both find something to like here. We even were treated to a new lager still finishing the brewing process, and it might have been the best of all! Give these folks a try, it's a wonderful experience of beer discovery.
Very dog friendly! Excellent service. The menu is pretty large, and moderately high prices for portion size but everything we ordered was incredible! The “smashville” burger on the brunch menu is incredible as is the hash brown casserole. Incredible atmosphere. Truly excellent beer list as well as cocktails and wine. The beer list caters to beer lovers as well as having some more classic choices for those in love with their personal favorite domestic. We happened upon this while traveling but it was good enough that we would highly recommend and definitely will be back next time we’re in the area.
I don’t understand how you couldn’t like this place! The atmosphere if really nice even though some bars and restaurants can’t recreate that feeling. Every time I walk through those doors I feel right at home. I would love to point out that the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Not to even mention that the food is mouth watering. There are words that cannot describe the feeling when you have the first bite. So to Alicia, Niko, Christina, and the rest of the staff: Thank you do doing what you do! :)
