Wow! Insane food. Insane waiter! Do yourself a favor and ask for Nate. We just moved here and have eaten out a lot and he’s the best most personable waiter we have come across yet! If it’s your first time, let them know they give you a sampler of so many gumbos and their etouffe, their jambalaya. Wow! The chef was Tiffany and I haven’t had this good of Cajun food since I lived in Nola. I had the Cat’touffe with jambalaya instead of white rice. It was 3 amazing pieces of fried catfish, over jambalaya with an crawfish etouffe roux over it. Wow. Ray had the Voodoo pasta, equally as good. Best red beans and rice I’ve ever had. We are making this our weekly throwdown spot. Im even adding it to my FB and IG Foodie Page Foodie McFooderton.
As a cajun myself, I have to critique harshly. I'm a native of Louisiana who just moved to greenville and we found this place and decided to try it out. I was really wanting to try the etouffee but after sampling it, I wasn't impressed and changed my mind. It tasted like a bland roux. The gumbo in the sampler was excellent, though and I'll be sure to get some next time. We got the boudin balls for an app and they were pretty good. The pasta that we got was excellent. I got the shrimp and grits and was not impressed with it either. The lobster bisque tasted like heavy cream with a little lobster in it and that's it. The grits weren't seasoned at all (I had to add salt and pepper myself.) after seasoning it myself a little, it wasn't too bad and the shrimp was pretty good in it. Overall, it was a great experience and the service was great, so I give it a 5 for the atmosphere and most of everything being pretty good just stay away from the shrimp and grits!
