Food has been consistent and tasty. Takes 15-20 minutes to prepare. We continue to come back.
Delicious food. Great people. Great service.
Unfortunately we went at a busy time, and waited much too long for our takeout food. Also, the order was a bit overpriced to us (although we are used to Mexican taco shops with pretty inexpensive pricing).
The El Salvadoran pupusas are so good, and pretty filling! They are great topped with the tasty black beans and red salsa! Yuuum. Not spicy (so I add my own because I love spice), but very flavorful.
We are definitely going to give them another chance, because it was all so good.
I had first tried pupusas in Detroit and was excited to find a pupuseria here in town. I ordered three different types and each one was fantastic. I honestly don't know which one I liked the most.
Excellent food at a modest price. I recommend it!
The pupusas were delicious! I had the chicken and cheese, and the steak and cheese. The plantains are very good as well.
I come here occasionally for their Pupusas. Usually don't have to wait long and the food it made fresh.
I hadn’t even heard of pupusas a year ago. But this fun experiment has taught me a little about the variants of Latin and Central American cuisine and I was excited to try pupusas! From Wikipedia: Pupusa is thick cornmeal flatbread from the Maya/Pipil culture of El Salvador. It is stuffed with one or more of the following ingredients: cheese, chicharrón, squash, refried beans, or cheese with loroco. C’mon, cornmeal flatbread stuffed with cheese and fillings, sounds great! I ordered the Mexican (cactus, jalapeño, and cheese,) the Chicharron, and the Original Camaron con queso (shrimp and cheese) and they were fantastic. My thought was this, given all the tacos I’ve tasted lately, I’ve come to realize that the slow-cooked meat is the carrier of flavor on a taco, not so with pupusas - the meat is a subtle nuance of all the flavors together, along with the pillowy texture of the cornmeal tortillas. Lastly, the fried plantains and refried beans and sour cream was an amazing accompaniment. So delicious! If you’re looking for authentic latin/Central American food, but your kids just like quesadillas, this place is perfect, just order a plain cheese pupusa for them!
Went there today after work. My wife and I have been going wanting to real authentic food and this place did not disappoint! Friendly service and since it was my first time I ever ordering from there, they didn’t pressure me or anything.
I went for the pupusas and they were fantastic. I only ordered 3 because I didn’t understand the menu but man I wanted to try everything.
I work at Costco on 28th st and I will definitely be recommending this place!
Best and only place to get authentic puppusas within an hour of Lansing mi.Family owned and prices are great.
