It took me a while to write this review. I kept coming back to Freshini trying to master the menu and give them a fair review.
I love their bowls, soups and chilli. The bowls are perfectly seasoned with wholesome and fresh ingredients. Perfect for when you want to eat healthy and feel great afterwards. The soups and chilli are spot on with the chilli quite spicy.
The salads were disappointing. I think they are a bit too hard to eat (that's the best way I can describe it). I also kept a star off because the atmosphere is a little intimidating. The menu is a bit complicated and requires some study.
All in all I'm very glad I kept coming back. The food is awesome and I want to try nearly everything on the menu.
Staying in town for one night, I was really looking for a good healthy option food wise. So happy to find this place. I got the kale salad, some ginger kombucha, and these amazing power balls. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was I could have used just a little more customer service. The girl at the counter was nice, but not overly helpful. When she handed me a red beet juice, it was overflowing on the lid. Not wanting to stain my clothes, I got a napkin. She stood and watched me clean it up without offering to help, other than saying, "Oh you can leave that." (Meaning the juice on the counter top). I'm thinking, "Are you not seeing the rest of the juice all over this plastic cup?" For anyone curious, it DID end up staining my shirt despite my efforts. The second time I went to the counter I wasn't offered a bag. I know these might seem like nit picky things, but I like when people anticipate needs of the customer. The food and the bars are delicious. I would definitely return!
I tried Freshii for the first time today and it was amazing!
I "built" my own salad, and it was delicious! The atmosphere in the dining area is lovely as well, it's very cute in there.
I will say this: it is far more expensive than most comparable places, but its location is super convenient if you work downtown (I came on my lunch break and was in and out in less than 5 minutes, wow). My salad ended up being $18 (I am not trying to blame the workers or anything for the prices. I just wanted to give an example of what you might pay). It was delicious, though! I would definitely dine here again and bring friends!
Clean atmosphere. Very good, healthy foods. Cashier could smile and greet customers though.
Keeping Healthy? Great place to eat minus the guilt. Great food and great prices with a great location in Grand Rapids.
I like eating real food and the staff are cheerful and quick.
I love Freshii!!! They have the best food and an incredibly helpful staff! My 8 year old daughter likes it just as much as I do. We make our own bowls, and it is amazing! Really! If you want a really healthy, delicious lunch or dinner, GO HERE!
Sooooo good, I can't describe it. Very fresh and flavorful. I've never had tofu like that before either. And the smoothie was outstanding! I took off a star because it's really pricey - at least the smoothies are, especially for the size that they give you. The entrees are reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.
An acquaintance from out of town invited me here and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. It seems to mostly be a lunch spot with very tasty wraps, I got something southwestern flavored and I added pork as a protein. The flavor shocked me because I wasn't expecting it to be so good, but it was amazing. Not sure if this is a chain or what, but I'd definitely consider going again next time I'm downtown looking for lunch.
