I often come here for lunch as I work nearby. The staff are always super friendly and the food is fabulous. They often will even remember what my regular orders are. They have the best Salmon for their sushi! I’ll also come here for dinner on occasion and am never disappointed. The atmosphere is a great blend of Japanese and Grand Rapids culture. If you are near the Grand Rapids downtown area I highly recommend stopping in for the scrumptious food!
Some of the freshest sushi I have had in Grand Rapids! Quaint spot in the heart of downtown GR (seating is tight inside.) Reasonably priced for the area and quality of food!!
A definite must try if you like sushi.
Great place to eat! Walked over while at a conference! Delicious food and great service! Tried the spicy California roll and spicy tuna roll lunch special! So good. Also, we had the teriyaki bowl with rice.
Extremely pleased with this spot! Stopped in for a quick bite before the Lindsey Stirling concert and was so happy with the food we came back the next day for a larger meal. We started with the tamago and kani nigiri and the crispy onion roll, both were delightful and the staff was wonderful and accommodating of our time crunch. Next day we got the bulgolgi (they had a 20% off special at the time on it too), sexy roll, some more nigiri and the honey Citron tea, again everything was delicious and so fresh. We really could not recommend this place more.
Honestly, such a chill, yummy, and wholesome place to eat. 10/10 recommended spot to eat in Grand Rapids. Would love to come again !
Nice small and cozy place to get korean food near the convention center. Enjoyed the hot stone bibimbap. Agedashi tofu was good and comes with a sweet sauce, but I generally prefer it a bit crispier.
I went at lunch and it was a bit uncomfortable because the dining area is quite small inside and there were no available seats. But the staff were friendly as always and the Ramen lunch combo was exactly what I wanted. Tasty and well-executed. It seems a bit odd to be paying $25 for what would cost ~$5 in Seoul, but it's not like we are overrun with quality Korean food joints here in GR. KCM on Diamond is about the best competitor, but I was walking and ATO was exactly what I needed.
AMAZING Japanese food. We will definitely be back
Great vegetarian/vegan options!
So many tasty rolls and great gyoza and spring rolls
If you're looking for a place to get an excellent variety of sushi, a quality atmosphere, and great service, look no further.
I have tried a few of their non-sushi offerings and while it was good, I wasn't blown away quite like I was with their sushi. Their offerings of rolls are varied and unique, with enough common choices for pickier eaters. The prices are slightly high but this is offset by the fact that their servings are generous.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking to have a fresh experience and enjoy a plethora of different sushi rolls.
This is my FAVORITE Asian restaurant. The food is always perfect, the servers recognize their regulars, and I love the atmosphere (although apparently they are redecorating it soon)! It feels like home (they make the food so much better than I do)! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves sushi or if you're like me, the shrimp tempura!
