The Port Hole is a nice little cafe with a wonderful view of the water.
Parking here is plenty and easy to find. When we arrived for dinner around 6pm in mid October on a Friday evening there was no wait; however, the restaurant had a comfortable amount of activity going on.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. You can absolutely tell that this is a favorite of the locals in the area as they are all chatting and engaging with one another.
If you are looking for a quick and easy sit down meal in Gold Beach this is a good stop and we’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.
Apparently they’ve recently change their hours opening out at 11 o’clock in time for lunch and then on to dinner. I like the rustic atmosphere with the wood interior and the view of the water was pretty awesome.
I would say, the clam chowder was thick and creamy with lots of clams and potatoes. The roast beef in the French dip was a little dry, but soak it in au juice It was fine.
The young man, waiter was efficient and and pleasant and frequently checked on me to see if I needed anything. I would say if you’re in the area give it a try.
I can't say enough about this place. Tried crab for the first time, very good. The atmosphere is welcoming. The service was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite.
Great little spot on the water. Amazing clam chowder bowl, calamari & clam straps. Oh did I mention the fries??? Mmmmm. Tried a Blueberry Cider this visit. Delicious! They never disappoint!
The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food is amazing, although kinda pricey. The staff is nice, however I gave service a 2 because we had to listen to their personal issues while they talked in the back.
Lots to like here, quick, nice view. The chowder is pretty good, lots of clam flavor, the fish n chips was great, chicken bacon ranch sandwich was a thumbs up from my nephew and the hubby liked the coctail sauce as well. Good service and friendly people.
Tried the Crab melt sandwich, and it was very good. Located facing the ocean so the view was awesome. Must try if you're in the area.
Wow! We just found our favorite place to eat when we visit the coast! The food was amazing, the bloody Mary's were delicious, service was quick and employees were all very nice! Nothing negative about it. The clam chowder was the best we've ever had!! Definitely our favorite.
We got the bacon BBQ burger special good size with clam chowder cup. We had the calamari strips appetizer absolutely delicious. Will definitely return. The state of Jefferson Porter 🍺😁
