Top 5 fish and chips I’ve had in the PNW hands down! We ordered fish and chips, and the Brazilian tacos! Out of this world!!! Washed it down with a local IPA from the brewery . If you are gonna stop for lunch in this town make sure
It’s this place! Won’t be disappointed.
Delicious lunch in Gold Beach. Great beers on tap and the service was amicable. Decent seating in a casual atmosphere. Would go here again.
This place was wonderful!! Staff, atmosphere and best of all food!! The best clam chowder I have had in Gold Beach, chunky, full of flavor and bacon and the veggies were cooked perfectly. The fish n chips were flaky, the batter was thin and super crispy, just like I love it and a great tasting fresh tatar sauce. If I do not ask for malt vinegar, you know it is good! The burgers were huge and tasty and we found out they cure and smoke their own bacon so the place smelled heavenly!! Coming back for more for sure - 6 thumbs up from our family!
On our way back home to Cali, we happened to stumble across barnicle bistro . Truly such an awesome restaurant, the food is high quality and yummy. I recommend the fish and chips and their burgers, which are just spectacular . Service was one of the best : special thanks to our waitress ,Skyler, who provided outstanding service and always with a smile on her face. So if you're looking for a quick good eat, i totally recommend Barnacle Bistro . Thank you
We enjoyed Barnacle Bistro. The atmosphere was awesome and it smelled amazing! The food was pretty good as well. Nothing crazy but good. We got their fish and chips and clam chowder.
Amazing clam chowder, and the tastiest, flakiest best fish n chips I have had in so long!! Didn't even have to ask for malt vinegar, it was so good! Highly recommend you try something with their house cured/smoked bacon, it smelled so good in that place!!
A transcendent experience! Embark on a journey of flavor! From the moment I stepped in and took in the delectable aroma of the food, I was blown away. Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, incredible flavor and texture! The apple cider curry mussels are a flavor combination that I haven't found anywhere else, but has arguably changed my life!
The staff are consistently friendly and the place is clean! Great local beers on tap, and a wonderful atmosphere.
The place is a bit small with parking around back that is limited so keep that in mind. It's also a little pricier than some places, but beyond worth every single penny! I cannot recommend this place enough. We go every time we are in Gold Beach, and will continue to do so.
As I walked into this seemingly average place, I realised the aromas told another story. While waiting for the food we ordered some local lagers (Arch Rock) on tap and loved it so much the girl who only has one beer ordered a second. The tacos were the best I’ve had in Cali or Oregon. I don’t know what you have to do to get a Michelin Rating, but this place deserves some serious cred. Love love love!
This is a really cool, very delicious, small place on the coast. The food was amazing! We did wait to be sat for about 15 minutes because there was only one large table to accommodate a larger party, but it was TOTALLY worth the wait. I had the Alaskan Cod Fish and Chips with Clam Chowder. It was cooked just right, and everything was so flavorful. Definitely would recommend this place for the food alone, but we had a great server too. It is a small gem right in the heart of Gold Beach. Check it out!
Small hole-in-the-wall local bistro with great service n mellow beach vibe. Went for the seafood and definitely appreciated hearty clam chowder and delicious wasabi rockfish tacos. Wanted to love the crab cakes and fries but next time around we’d just order another round of tacos. The wasabi makes this dish but make sure it’s portioned out evenly - my first bite was all wasabi and I saw stars for a quick second but every bite after was perfection.
