First time at this restaurant, wasn't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly pleased. Food and service was great. The fish was delightful, says my Sweetheart, and the steak was cooked perfectly, cobb salad for two was also great.Chris , the host, is top notch, awesome, a really nice gentleman. He steps in and helps out wherever it's needed, like bringing those popovers, smoking hot to the table , or polishing the tableware as I saw him doing as we were leaving. He's not like some hosts I've seen at other places, standing around with their thumb up their arse. Cheers to you Chris and also our waitress who was also awesome, got us anything we wanted in a timely manner. The only gripe small table for 2. I like to be spread out when I dine, but I understand. Next time I will request a table in the main room. Thankyou for your hospitality, much appreciated ! We'll be back !!!

What a great little spot. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for chatting and catching up. The host and wait staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is great and the popovers add a nice touch. The only issue I had was a meal called for risotto and was served with rice. It still tasted amazing and didn't stop me from going back.

A nice spot in Gloucester for dinner! I got the “Sister’s Haddock” — described as the “people’s favorite” it’s a local fillet with hazelnut crust, pan roasted with lemon wine butter. I got mine with potatoes! Consider me part of the people, because this was my favorite dish while on vacation.

The mushroom torte is to die for. We shared a goat cheese salad and a scallop entree, ended up taking most of the salad home, which was still delicious the next day. We go to this place once a year during the Craft Fair and look forward to it perhaps more than the Fair because the food is consistently delicious. The restaurant is cozy and usually bustling. The decor is neighborhood bar, with old wooden floors, and very clean and welcoming. Staff hustle, always. And as always, we wished we lived closer than an hour away so we could eat there more often. Poppovers! Need I say more?

Our new favorite restaurant! Visiting from Southern NH and we were pleasantly surprised! Decided to try it out after two recommendations by local shop owners. Could NOT of asked for better meals! We were thrilled at the quality of food, pricing and service! We will be back!

My friend and I had a great time eating lunch here over the weekend! Lobster roll and hazelnut crusted chicken were fantastic. Popovers were delicious as well. The staff was so kind and even chased me out do the restaurant when I forgot my leftovers!

We have eaten here for years and it’s always very good. Recently we got take out and everything was delicious. The prices are more reasonable than many other places in the area. It feels like a good value. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is charming. We Love the popovers! You don’t see them at other restaurants anymore. Such a treat!

Delighted by the popovers. Such a warm way to open a meal. A welcome extension of our obsession with them on a Maine vacation. Had a bit of trouble choosing since several menu items were unique, offered with twist and tempting. Went with the clam chowder, mushroom torte, Sister's Haddock, and Chicken Roquefort. All excellent. Mushroom torte is texturally sensational and flavorful if you are a fan of bold, savory dishes. Portions are generous and the staff is wonderful.

Great dining experience. We had a crab cake for an appetizer, summer salads and the fish wrap were amazing. Great customer service. We were greeted with warm popovers and butter.
