Potbelly Sandwich Shop

I just ordered a vanilla Shake with a ham smoke sandwich. The cup was so dirty on the top inside and not even full. It was like 3/4 full. I threw them in the garbage. I upload some picture so guys you can see. This is disgusting!🤮 I don’t know what is wrong with people. we are in the middle of Covid; and people find a way to be messy and careless!!!

Food as expected for a Potbelly so no complaint on that score. Went in Friday afternoon about 1pm. Two thirds, or about 9 or 10 tables were open and every single one of them was filthy, sticky, crumbs on tables and chairs and no one bussing the whole time I was there for lunch. Two young ladies working alone behind the counter, nice but not up to the usual Potbelly standards. I won't be returning.

I've been eating Potbelly's since I was a kid at the original location on Lincoln in Chicago. My family and I stopped in on Saturday around 2pm for a late lunch the place wasn't busy the service was decent behind the counter the young lady did a real job making the sandwiches, but when we looked to sit at a table to dine in every table was filthy. I expect tables to be clean not one table was clean.

So I ordered a sandwich and before making my sandwich the lady said we can okay for it. Which is totally fine, so we did and I forgot I wanted avocados on it and told her and she said it was fine. I thought she meant she would give it to me anyways. I guess she was telling me it was okay and that I needed avocados, because she didn't add it to my sandwich. I mean I don't mind paying for it....then I reached my hand out to get the bag from her and she tossed it past my hand on the counter instead. I said thank you and sat down. Then a white lady comes in and at the end the lady is telling this customer have a nice weekend and stuff..needless to say I'm not coming here again..

My wife submitted an online order, it confirmed and she went to pick it up only to find the location closed and locked up during posted business hours, so obviously we did not get our order fulfilled that day. I emailed Potbelly's website to address the issue and received a response that it was a "technical" issue that day and her card will not be charged. Fast forward a week and her card was charged so not sure if it was oversight/incompetence or willful (hoping we wouldn't notice or forget) but either way it is unacceptable. Will see what happens but will dispute the card charge if Potbelly's doesn't fix it so, as that is outright theft. Completely unacceptable of course and my family will never give our business to/nor frequent this location again. Lost a customer for life and it is unfortunate, because we like Potbelly. But Jimmy Johns is close too.
