We tried their fireweed and honey, caramel carabu, strawberry and rainbow cake flavours.
All flavours were amazing.
Must visit if you love trying local ice cream flavours.

Wide variety of flavors, cones, and cups, even some waffle chips! Lots of local flavors including fireweed honey. Perfect after a long day of fishing.
Stopped by for an evening dessert after dinner. There were about 5 people in line, but it was moving quickly. There were a couple of employees who were efficiently serving everyone in line.
There were probably 30-35 flavors on the menu with some being locally made, Vegan, and no sugar added. With the ice cream, you can have it in a cone, cup, milkshake, malt, smoothie, or a sundae. You're able to pick a flavor for each scoop. Ordered a double scoop and they were nice enough to ask which scoop I wanted on the bottom. Ice cream was very good as it was soft, smooth, and creamy. There's limited seating inside, so most sat outside on the brick planters. Good ice cream served by friendly and efficient staff.
I love real ice cream and get ice cream in pretty every state I visit. The Ice Cream Shop is always near the top if not the cream of the top. Consistently awesome no matter what day or time of the year. The Alaska Wildberry is my fav and my kids love the Carmel caribou and coffee flavors. Must stop and enjoy.
This ice cream shop is my favorite. I love the local feel, and the kids running the shop are always so sweet. It is rarely crowded and has a nice, relaxing environment.
What a unique flavor! Fireweed and honey. Staff is very nice, and ice cream is really good.
Delicious ice cream with a beautiful view. They offer samples so you can be sure you get the flavor you want. The service is always great and fast.
Very huge collection of ice cream flavors (over 30), including many Alaskan specific ones such as Fireweed, Alaskan wild berries and others. They also have coffee.
The texture and flavors are quite good and they let you sample their flavors. Fireweed is a must try if you are visiting Alaska and I would recommend stopping by this shop if you are in girdwood.
The staff are especially nice and helpful.
Everyone in Girdwood recommended we go to the Ice Cream Shop. I made the salesperson laugh when I ordered the Moose Droppings flavor. It’s actually named Moose Tracks and was really good. I highly recommend checking out this family run shop.
Excellent ice cream, high prices. The cost of living is high in Alaska, and this shop is pretty remote, which combines to make their prices high. Paid $10 for 2 scoops in a cup.
