The best breakfast spot in the area, absolutely loved the pancakes, but don’t order their espresso drinks (their drip coffee is decent though).

You ever been to a place that feels like people who are growing up in the town work there? It's hard to describe the energy but it's pleasantly relaxing, even when crowded. I'd suggest getting there early-is as we entered into a line and walked past a line on the way out. It's THAT popular. There's a reason for that: the food is consistent. Everyone's toast came out perfectly, the bacon was cooked fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and the drinks were good. Recommendation: Cinnamon bun. Oh. My. Gosh. Not too sweet, crunchy on the top and so delicately light and soft inside. That was the highlight of breakfast, aside from peripherally observing the kitchen staff jamming out to 90s/2000s punk/skater rock and curse at a few fringe toasts. Sure, if you're a person of color you may get some side glances but it won't be from staff. The food is worth it.

What a great breakfast stop on our way to Whittier cruise port. Ample food, ambiance and great coffee. Came here on a recommendation from Brown Bear Saloon hotel. The French toast looked amazing but pancakes and jams were enough. Check out the great pottery for lifetime coffee. Strip mall at base of hill was a wonderful setting. Amazing art inside too

We decided to stop for breakfast on our way from Anchorage to Seward, and it was a fantastic choice! With plenty of recommendations in mind, we ordered the sourdough pancake stack, and let me tell you, those pancakes were absolutely delightful. We also tried the mushroom and spinach scramble, which turned out to be a great pick! It was a satisfying breakfast all around. The coffee was spot-on, and the friendly servers made the experience even better. Whether you're on an Anchorage to Seward road trip or exploring Girdwood, this place is a definite winner for breakfast. Enjoy your meal! 😄🥞☕

After almost 4 weeks in Girdwood we still hadn't eaten here...since we were out hiking and exploring from wonderful Girdwood. We LOVED everything about the bake shop. My burger was way better than others tried. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and NOT drowned in sauce. My wife's vegee omlette actually had lots of greens unlike many veggie omelets with more potatoes than greens. Real plates. Reusable coffee mugs. Outdoors eating options. Other customers fun. Cares about community!! If I ever started a perfect restaurant...this would be it! Thanks!

Great spot to stop in for warm food. Lots of grilled cheese options. I got the pastrami and cheese, they did not skimp on the pastrami. Wonderfully toasted sourdough bread. Cool sodas in a bottle and AMAZING cinnamon rolls. I tried their northern bean soup and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend stopping in for some good quick eats.

I had a fan-freaking-tasting Reuben sando here not long ago. It came out HOT and smothered in Thousand Island, and tasted so good on a cold, snowy day. The meat was juicy, fresh and very flavorful. I also ordered a side salad which was generously dressed. It paired excellently with the Reuben. I couldn’t walk out without trying their famous Sweet Roll. Nothing short of phenomenal. This bad boy is the perfect combo of buttery goodness, flakiness and sweet. The caramel is light, but a little went a long way. Definitely could taste the anise. Topped with a soft, lemony glaze (not very tangy) and sliced almonds, it’s no wonder this treat is so well known. 10/10 would drop in again.

We were on our way to Seward and stopped for breakfast. The place is a nice, friendly, and rustic space. The indoor area is quite loud because of the kitchen fans and radio, but I guess that adds to the charm. We had the Farmers Breakfast Omelette, which was tasty but looked more similar to a frittata folded in half to us. We also ordered the Summer of 75 Special because I love sourdough (they also sell sourdough loaves). Never had sourdough pancakes before so I had to try them. Unfortunately, it tasted a little off to me and I couldn't finish my meal. But overall, we had a pleasant visit here. It was bustling and I can see how people would enjoy it here.
