This is a really good place and they have an interesting menu. Their food is worth the price and the wait was not too long. They have really good fusion food and all the ingredients seemed to work really well together. I would really like to give this restaurant more than 5 stars and I forgot to mention that the service was also really good. Food also comes with bread and butter. It is a small restaurant on the corner of a street, it doesn't have many seats.

Small, bustling spot with a Japanese take on Italian food. Came here with 2 other friends on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 and it was about a 30 minute wait (no reservations accepted). You put your name on the piece of paper by the hostess stand, and wait for your name to be called. If your entire party isn’t present, they’ll seat the group after you and you’ll have to wait until the next seating is available. It’s a small place with limited tables and communal seating, so it’s best for 2-3 people. No outdoor dining available.
There’s a parking lot in the back. Credit cards are accepted. It’s located right across the Tokyo central complex so you can walk across for dessert (I.e., boba or ice cream) or to get some groceries.
Food-wise, they do give you some free French bread with butter. You can also purchase the bread for $3.25 plus tax. Got the $1 salad per everyone’s suggestions and I would echo their sentiment. The dressing is what makes it so interesting. The spaghetti omelet I got was cooked al dente, but note it’s more of an egg being placed on top of spaghetti rather than an actual omelette with spaghetti filling. My friend’s white sauce pasta was super creamy and filling. My other friend who had recommended this spot always goes for the bolognese. Our dinner was less than $20 each (including the tax and tip).
Overall, it’s a great reasonably priced spot for an intimate, casual dinner with good pasta.

Why is it called "Spoon" house for noodles place??? What monster is eating speghatti with a spoon!!
Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered Japanese-Style Cod Roe with Squid and Seaweed & Japanese-Style Cod Roe with Sea Urchin and Squid to go around 7:45 PM on a week night. The noodles are always cooked wonderfully with just the right bite and the seasoning is delicious. The lemon slice given helps cut through some of the butter which is a great balance. There was only a tiny piece of sea urchin which is extremely disappointing and for some odd reason that noodle dish was a little... dry. The fresh bread is amazing as usual, didn't disappoint
Ambience: N/A - took the food to go but the shop is very clean and the decor simple but with some bold blues. If you sit at the counter, you may have a great view of the chefs
Service: 4/5 - the waitress was very attentive and immediately greeted us and came to took orders when we closed the menu and look back up. She forgot our requests for condiments.. our cheese!!!! T_T
Value for price: 5/5 - great noodles, great bread, great service!

They will serve you a French bread for the begin. The spaghetti is ok, (the noodle is hard). The one dollar salad is so cheap and delicious, must order.

A South Bay institution where Japanese and Italian flavors come together to bring the best of their cultures to one plate.
The cooks have been there for as long as I can remember...2 decades or more. The food is absolutely outstanding and the service is just what you would expect from a home grown restaurant, fun and friendly.
Friends, make the drive down and don’t forget the $1.00 salad. Yes...it’s a thing

I will give it a 5 stars even though my spaghetti tasted a little funny. The place is small and always busy. I had to wait 45 minutes. Free bread was good and dollar salad was also very tasty. I got bolognese with weiner that I would not recommend, my dinner mates got Japanese Cod Roe Sea Urchin with Seaweed. That tasted live 5 stars. Anyhow give them a try.

Huge selection. Somehow they have managed to keep their prices reasonable. They are still selling the $1 salad which always makes me smile. Good people and good food enjoy your visit
