I drive from Anaheim to get their fresh baked baguettes because it's that good! Two loaves for $2 and some change. It's crispy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside, and buttery in flavor. I've had their #2 sandwich, which is the BBQ Pork and their #1 Combo. The BBQ Pork has a nice marinade with a hint of lemongrass. I also bought their shrimp and pork spring rolls and they are so refreshing! The wrappers were the perfect texture and the herbs were very fresh. The sauce is light and flavorful. Expect to see locals come in and leave with six baguettes at a time!
They sell nice boxes if you feel like gifting a dozen or more Pate Chaud (which are good). They also have one of best Vietnamese baguettes in the area, no butter in the recipe as God intended. Not sure why every place is adding butter into their recipes.
Not big of choice right now. But very healthy coconut jelly. And vietnamese ice coffee is delishhh😊
Great customer service. Food and coffee was good. The bread that comes with the sandwich is really crispy and delicious.
This is by far the best place for French baguettes. I used to go to Lee’s Sandwiches not knowing that there’s this place. They make bread like pros, and not the commercial type that would dry in a couple of hours, but lasts for at least a day. Freezing it would even last you for years, 😅
The bread here is amazing, seriously amazing. Also, try the wintermelon drink, so yum. Almost forgot, patechaud, last time I was there, they had s special, but 6, get 1 free. Got them right as they were coming out of the oven. Perfectly flakey, just the way God intended it.
Best french bread in town hands down, especially when they just came right out of the oven. Crunchy crust, fragrant , soft and airy on the inside. $3 for 2 loaves of french bread. I like to add a rich butter to mine but it's really good as is.
A local friend who introduced us cafe and patecheaux which were tasted good. We used to make Cafe du Monde with condensed milk at home, Houston, TX. Patecheaux were tasted good much better than if I bought them from "Lee's sandwich" in Houston, TX. We wished the shop to allow customers to sit inside the shop for chit chat and drinking cafe together on that morning.. We stayed 5 nights in the local motel "Little Saigon Inn" next to this cafe sandwich shop.
The sandwiches and are good. Their baguette bread is soft not hard like other places. They should all remember to put plenty of veggies and condiments on their sandwiches. I only remember having the avocado smoothie and it was good. I don't feel they be should be charging more nor have a minimum amount in order to pay by credit card.
Now I understand Why "Tip Top Sandwiches" has such a strong following. I stopped in with Janet for a late night snack and drinks, and came away very satisfied.
Janet had the strawberry & banana smoothie, with Boba fruit which was superb. The essence of each fruit came through. A smoothie, not slush-mush. Again, superb.
I ordered the #14 European Sandwich, french baguette (fresh even at 10PM) with perfectly fried medium-firm tofu, avocado, cheese, tomato, onion, shredded lettuce.
I really enjoyed this meal. And the service, even at 10PM, was stellar.
I also noted that, even at 10pm, customers still stopped in to pick up baguette loaves. With a full service bakery, Tip Top Sandwich has a lot to offer, which of course means Janet and I will be back again.
