Great cozy place!, delicious cheese & meat board. Ideal for couples or small groups, the back patio is a nice place to be.

Great wine tasting event! Host very enthusiast, equally so with each explanation of the different flavors in each type of wine. Loose start-time - start whenever you get there during the 2 hour window and move along at your own pace. Would have been nice to have had a written list of the wines tasted, since now I am struggling to remember the names of the my favorites. Tasting area not very big (gets crowded fast). Once done tasting, you're able to purchase glasses of wine at a discount, limited to a specific display set. One downfall: unable to purchase a charcuterie board until after tasting event ends, which loosely depends on whenever people who got there at whatever time are finished (left and got apps elsewhere).

Downtown wine and cheese is a great spot for a relaxing date with a bottle of wine and a cheese board on the secret patio. The proprietor, Maude, keeps a great selection of wine ranging from very affordable to top end. Check out the wine tastings on Thursday nights. $15 gets you 5-6 wines to taste with heavy pours. If you want to try some new wines frequently, I recommend the wine club. There are a few different levels but I promise you will get your money's worth. They also serve delicious pizzas on certain evenings including late night. Come check out this awesome local spot!

I've been to Gainesville Wine and Cheese a couple times before and have always had a wonderful experience. However, they put a dent in my birthday celebrations by saying they forgot someone else had booked out the whole place and there was no room for my boyfriend and I. I did receive a 40$ gift certificate but I will be taking my business elsewhere since my boyfriend works nights and we have limited time together. Make sure you call them before you go even if you have a reservation.

We were looking for a good place to enjoy some wine and a snack. Boy were we please to find it here. VERY friendly staff and had good knowledge of the wines. We selected a nice bottle of cab ordered the boat cheese. Both were great! They gave us 2 nice pieces of the cheese we couldn't eat it all with one bottle so we had to get a second one. The little garden out back was cozy and comfortable. Good jazz was playing but not to loud. Perfect background.
While we were enjoying the wine and cheese a little opossum came out and kept wandering around the plant beds. His name is Harold and he was abandoned by his mother so he is now a resident. Super cool and not afraid of people. Doesn't bother you, he just wanders around and looks cute.
When in Gainesville this will be our go to place to unwind.

It's exactly what you would expect! An adorable old house converted into a wine shop that has a great outdoor patio! The wine selection was great as well as the cheese selection. We came before dinner so we only got a small platter, but there were many options to choose from. We were here early so there was no one else here but I'm sure as the evening goes on, the patio will fill up. As we were leaving there was a jazz musician setting up to play live music! We will be back!
