Looking for a Seafood restaurant before I left town in Blacksburg after spending months working there I found Colonial Fish Camp don't let the name fool you it's more like a restaurant than anything but I'm glad I decided to go there instead. If I had only knew about it sooner dang! They load you down with your money's worth and it was great Seafood.

This was my first time eating anything from here, and I am not impressed at all. My coworker and I stopped to pick up our call-in order before work. We ordered 2 calabash chicken dinners.with fries and slaw. Only one order was ready when we got there - I'm not sure How; But! They forgot that we had ordered 2 dinners!- So, we waited. For a good ten minutes. And in that ten minutes, my food got cold. When we went to pay the bill? $28!!??!!?? TWENTY EIGHT (AND CHANGE!) DOLLARS FOR TWO CALABASH CHICKEN DINNERS???? ARE YOU NUTS?!?!?! I can get them from FATZ Cafe for less than that, and have them piping hot and ready when we get there!!! And when I asked for extra sauce (I was willing to pay for it guys- I even had some dollars held in my EXTENDED hand for them!) Ingot told, "Oh. We give you 3. It's plenty." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Since when do YOU get to decide how much is "enough" sauce for me???
When we got to work, my chicken was hard, my fries cold & limp, but that <--> little bitty container (MAYBE a 2oz disposable ramekin) of slaw was amazing. Thank the Lord the tea was free, because it had the taste of the fridge it was kept in.
I really don't think I'll be going back.

I absolutely love this little place. Today was my first time here. My daughter had the kids perch and I had the perch with shrimp. I was very skeptical about getting the shrimp because it seems like restaurants around this area don’t know what butterfly shrimp really are. I informed my waiter that I was skeptical and just to provide excellent service he went to the back and got me 2 pieces of shrimp to just make sure I was satisfied. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the hospitality. Overall great service and food. Well worth the price!

Small town restaurant, family run. The restaurant opened at 3:30, by 3:45 it was packed with call in and dine in. To was a wait, but very well worth it!!
Good sized portions for a very good price. The food, atmosphere, service with a smile was worth the drive.

I got the trio platter with Alaskan white fish scallops and stuffed crab baked potato cole slaw and hush puppies and everything was delicious accept for the crab I didn't care for that but it was worth getting the trio it gave me a chance to try things I've never ate and it was well worth the visit and the wait
