Dawat Indian Cuisine

Food was okay as we have tried lunch box for two. Though biryani tasted nice but their appetisers were nit so tempting. But worth a try. Updated: We have already tried Dawat couple of time but it was just to go but this time we have tried their buffet. Although their buffet is cheaper than other Indian restaurants but the curries or dishes they are offering is very limited. No mutton dishes and no salads on buffet. Paneer curry and chicken curry was nice and so chicken 65 but other dishes are not good enough. They have provided raita (yogurt) after sometime and I think they just have started the lunch buffet. Customer service is one important factor where they need to work and improve, you need to ask many times if you need anything. Dessert was also okay. The one dish that I have liked a lot which I generally never found anywhere in Indian lunch buffet i.e. Daal tasks and plain rice which was really delicious. We may be coming again but not sure

Sooo let me begin with how this restaurant ruined my evening as I was craving some nice curry and garlic naan. I don't even understand why this place is rated 4 stars, it is 1 star. This is not real Indian food, at least not the North Indian items they claim to have. I'm ashamed that most people who go here think it's Indian food... We got the butter chicken and "palak paneer" aka green mush aka baby food. The palak paneer is inedible, has no seasoning and coats your throat so thickly that you want to barf. Leave the palak paneer unblended pleaseeee and put some actual flavor into it. The butter chicken was alright but I believe curry leaves were added...North Indian butter chicken survives well without curry leaves. We also got the samosas, passssssssssss. Seemed very uncooked, no flavor, very greasy plus no chutneys were added??? Are you kidding me, every place usually gives you chutney omg I'm out. Very upset that North Indian food isn't well represented in Dallas....

Great customer service and good food. One of the owner talked to us and had sent some complementary pakoras. The rolls are good here. We had ordered chilli paneer roll, masala vegetable roll, paneer tikka roll, dal tadka, methi chaman..All the items were good. This is a new place. So all the hardwork and effort is visible. Thumbs up to that..just hope that they continue to provide good service always..

Kindly Stay Away.. Not at all fresh food. Updating again after 2 hours. All 4 of us suffered mild food poison effect. I saw reviews like you and thought they would server delicious food. One good thing is, they accept Restaurant Coupons. I ordered 2 plates - Dry Gobi Manchurian and 6 Butter NoN and some other curries. They served me Black Roasted/Fried(Too Much Fried/roasted) and too much salty Gobi Manchurian. I never tasted manchurian with such bitter and salt taste. We had drink more water get away from that taste. NoNs are like hard rubber. I could not enjoy food at all. Updating just after 2 Hours. All family of 4 of us, suffered mild food poison.
