Rock N Salsa

Random find since I was at Home Depot and was looking for a quick bite to eat. I am so happy since I’m out of town on a work assignment. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! You can see the kitchen so everything is fresh and made to order. The waitstaff is super friendly, plus made some suggestions on popular food items. I also brought back coworkers so they could experience this hidden gem. Hate that this is not local to me.

I really wanted to like this place but I had such a bad experience here on my first visit. For one, the food took long to make. My nephew and I eat out at a restaurant once per week to spend quality time together, catch up and enjoy a nice experience. This was our first time eating here and we were really looking forward to it because my brother recommended it. They have a nice restaurant and the cashier was pretty nice however she mixed up our order with the guy who was sitting next to us. He seemed pretty upset too. I didn't mind my order being wrong but my 12 year old nephew was really looking forward to a wet burrito but instead he had to eat a regular dry burrito because she didn't offer to make another one. Halfway through him eating it she took it and put it in a plastic container with sauce and gave it back to him. He did NOT enjoy it :( and I also was kind of upset because even though I got the wrong food I told her I was willing to try it even though I don't really eat birria but she took them and threw it away. Then my nephew felt like having birria because he saw the plate. I would have preferred for her to make a new burrito for my nephew but she didn't. She made a brand new order for the man sitting next to us though. SO, I had to go and spend extra money to buy birria. I was not offered a discount or any credit for a future visit for her mistake. I ended up paying almost $50.00 for a bad first experience. There was no horchata. We got soda instead but I also asked for a glass of water. She put ice when I did not want ice. Also, the bathroom was out of paper towels :( so I had to dry my hands with my shirt. I hope this review helps so that you don't lose customers in the future, especially with COVID and inflation.....

Frankly picked this place at random because it was near our shopping. Lucky us! The service is very nice, quite attentive. And, the food was good! We had carnitas street tacos and a fajita plate. Although there were many changes to the fajita plate (no cheese, no rice, whole beans) they were very nice about it and got everything right. This is a good find in strip mall eating.
