The food was so delicious, we were told 45 min wait but we got seated in 20 minutes! This is as our second visit while in town. First day we tried their hamburger & fries for lunch & it too was delicious, so good we invited my daughter & son-in-law for brunch as we were leaving Fredericksburg.

Really nice, clean diner. Employees were all very friendly and polite. I got their chicken pot pie and a side of their homefries, just in case the pie didn't fill me up. But I underestimated how filling the pie would be. I ate about a third before I was full. I saw another reviewer that said there was hardly any chicken in theirs, but that was not the case for mine. There was plenty of chicken, the crust was perfectly cooked, not too soft not too hard, and the inside was creamy and delicious. If you love a pot pie, definitely give theirs a try!

From the service to the food everything was AWESOME for my first time visiting. The waitress made my special drink of half coffee half hot chocolate with whipped cream so delicious. I wished my local one did not close but I would definitely take the hour drive again

Couple eggs benedict meals and coffee and apple juice is about 40 after tip. Great service, and very good variety of food. They offer specials like soups, vegetables, flavored tea or flavored coffee or a daily side like country style green beans .. and a French dip.. off the menu items can be found on the chalkboard inside, on the back wall. If you're ordering takeout maybe call for specials!

Yum! We got the Charleston shrimp and grits which was the favorite of the 2 dishes. It had 2 fried grits patty's on top. The Eggs Benedict with avocado, tomato, and ham with fresh made hashbrowns. Very good but I'd go back for the shrimp and grits. 😋

I had the Steak Bowl. Its the perfect portion size and only 800 calories. Steak is juicy and tender cooked perfectly well. Highly recommend🍗🍗🍗

Our experience with the Metro Diner was great. Chicken and Waffles and Fish Friday was served hot and fresh. Our server Luke anticipated our needs and was right there everytime even though he was serving many tables. Thank you for great food and great service.

Visited 4/13/22 ordered the Avocado BLT on multi grain bread w/grits. It was delicious! I eat here about every other month
