P.i.g.s. Bbq

Owner’s brother greeted me and waited on me. He was friendly and gave outstanding service. I dined during the “dead time” between lunch and dinner and was leery of the food being fresh. Ordered the pork shoulder and the loaded potato salad. Such an impressive plate, served with Jalapeño corn bread, fresh-made pickles, etc. The pork was hot and juicy, not fatty. The potato salad was a bit too heavy; however, everything else was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this establishment!

This was our first time trying PIGS. Overall not bad. We decided we would be willing to go back and try some other items. It is HOT today and their A/C wasn’t working. We were sweating eating lunch. Not sure if this is a recurring problem. I was surprised they had a small craft beer list and we each found something we liked. I love fried green tomatoes. These were ok. They were crisp and not soggy. I’m not a huge fan of corn meal so it was a little much for me. We ordered 10 wings. You can get them fried or grilled. My husband prefers fried and next time we will try them grilled. Wings were good. We got the old bay and hot pepper jam. They did not need ranch but the tomato ranch they served with them had a good flavor. I love cheese like love cheese. The nachos were a little heavy on the cheese. It took away from the flavor profile of the toppings and especially the house made pickled onions. We chose to add pork to ours. I’d try them again with the brisket. The collard greens were good we agreed mine were better but maybe we are a little bias! Ribs we would not get again. I prefer a dry rub and no sauce. These were dry to the point they needed sauce.

PIGS has high quality and thoughtful BBQ. I would say it’s traditional but not at the same time. Hence what I love about their food. It’s not thrown together and the presentation and quality (full of fresh and robust ingredients full of flavors). I enjoyed sitting at the bar. I had good views of the TVs with sports games and the bar had a great selection of beers and a great cocktail list. The staff and owners are super friendly and awesome.

There’s not enough words to describe the service we got from PIGS. They catered to my wedding and the food was amazing! The service was even better! Jimmy (who I’d recommend over and over) was TOP TIER. He made sure my husband and I always had a drink in our hand or food on our plate. He is extremely attentive, caring, and patient. Lisa is awesome also! She answered all questions we had and was super at the tasting!! They were amazing to work with and worth every penny!!!! If you’re trying to decide if you’re going to have them cater for you, GO FOR IT!!!

PIGS catered our wedding and did an amazing job. The food was great, and the service the day of was wonderful (6 food service people, 2 bartenders, and a team lead). They did forget a side dish, but everything else was absolutely perfect. They even accomodated using cheese and ice cream from our dairy. Would definitely use them again!
