Red Brick Cafe

It was good. It was a little confusing on how to order or get service. It appeared to be a sit down restaurant and you look for the server only to find orders are taken at a small counter. The menu is on a black chalkboard near the counter. I'm sure it was not confusing to the locals as it was pretty full.

Stopped in for breakfast. Had 3 orders of sunny breakfast. Staff was very sweet. You can almost watch your food cook. They have custom crafted coffee's and there was a Christian theme which didn't bother my group one bit. It seemed to be family run establishment. My two counterparts liked their hot and cold coffee's. I thought my black coffee was either too bold or slightly bitter. I do recommend this place over any fast food joint. The pancake batter was not bad, bacon was right, and eggs could be ordered as egg whites.

Nice little New Orleans style cafe in downtown Franklinton. Unexpected. Mostly salads and sandwiches but other special dishes as well. We went after lunch and they had run out of ingredients for several dishes. Still we found things we liked. Their fried shrimp was truly outstanding. Very flavorful. That's rare for that area.
