Music City Seafood

We have dined here several times over the last year. Lunch is served throughout the week with dinner on Friday and Saturday night. They are closed on Sunday. The location can be a difficult one to find if you are not real familiar with the Franklin Factory off of Liberty and Franklin Road. The restaurant is tucked into the South end of the warehouses just off Liberty Pike. The set up is part dining part retail. There are 8-9 tables including a larger community style table. The serving sizes are enormous. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Our favorite dishes include the Fish & Chips dish as well as the Peel and Eat Boiled Shrimp. My favorite “side” dish is the Shrimp and Mac & Cheese. The servers are friendly and helpful. Adult beverages (cold beers) are available — although this is not considered a full service bar.

My husband and I ate here on 4/1/2019 the place is small but cute. That is the only good comment I can give. We went at an off time only one other table with two people, so not busy. I ordered one of the specials grilled salmon my husband had jambalaya. Salmon was BURNED I tried to eat and you could taste nothing but burned fish skin. After waiting 10 minutes for a wait staff to come back to us (the two women were busy leaning by grill to talk to chef) my husband went and asked if one of them could please come to our table. When we got a staff member I showed her the salmon and explained it was inedible. She offered to have remade I declined. When it was taken back to grill area we could hear the argument from the chef that it was “charred “ no I am sorry when the skin is black and heavy burned that is not charred that is burned. It should not have been served. Another staff person came to our table and stated “oh you didn’t like the charred salmon”., again I stated that is not charred that is burned it should not leave a nasty burned taste in my mouth. My husband had no complaint about the jambalaya. We had calamari for appetizer it was tough definitely not prepared well. Hush puppies were to dense and over deep fried. The food is pricey but we were not concerned because we were expecting fresh well cooked dinner. What a disappointment! We will mark this restaurant off our return list.

This place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!! Try it and you won’t be disappointed. The food is DELICIOUS and the staff is very FRIENDLY!! The hush puppies are the best I’ve ever tasted. The Cajun remoulade sauce, that comes with the hush puppies, and the tartar sauce is unrivaled. There’s too many good things to say. Trust me, just go there !!! Are you in your car yet ?

Worst service I've experienced in a long time. We are traveling through and went out of our way to eat here because we love seafood and wanted to try somewhere unique. We arrived at 2:55pm on Saturday and a sign was taped to the door saying they were closing at 4pm and were not seating starting at 3pm. We entered and went to a booth and waited for the hostess. She refused to serve us even though we were there before 3pm. She said they are closing at 3pm. We said the sign on the door said 4pm. She then said they were not seating after 3pm. We pointed out that it was not 3pm yet and she rudely said they had already closed the kitchen and turned around and walked away. I wish I could review the food. Sadly, I can't recommend based solely on the service.

Fast service with piping hot food ! Great friendly service. Really nice owners who were very attentive, and you can’t beat the excellent live music experience! **Only thing I would recommend are the seasonings/spices used on the crawfish. They lay it on a little heavy, so just tell them when you order, to go a little light on the spice, or hold off on the cayenne if you can’t handle heat. They’re great and will gladly accommate you! We’ll be back again soon and get enough ! 10/10 We’re So glad to have this great place in the neighborhood!!!

The Hush Puppies, Fries, & Seafood Gumbo was GREAT! I didn't enjoy my the Seafood Platter or the Fried Squid because seasoning was too salty & the batter coating wasn't crispy. Music City Seafood portions was just right however very pricey. This place is not on my favorite seafood restaurant list to revisit when I am in Franklin, TN again.
