The most perfect place to go relax and enjoy a great meal! Would highly recommend to everyone who loves good southern cooking!
This place is amazing!! The staff makes you feel like family and the food is magnificent! Great place to bring your out of town guests!
Great food and it was a beautiful day to sit outside...a tiny hidden gem of a restaurant. Very nice and friendly family who runs the place. Fabulous yeast rolls, everything was so, so good. We've lived in Nashville forever (hubby born here) and just now finding this delicious little place. Even our dog got to sit out with us and get lots of pets and spoiling from the nice owners. Catfish, slaw (yum), and mac and cheese, fried pork chop, fried apples, and okra, followed by fudge pie and banana pudding. No picture of the yeast rolls (with real butter) because we inhaled them before the rest of the food came out 😋.
Delicious southern cooking! The roll I was given while I waited for my food was warm and delicious, the country fried steak was amazing with the perfect gravy, the fried okra was crispy and fresh, the mac and cheese needed some hot sauce to make it great, but that’s more of a personal taste thing. Even the sweet tea was a perfect blend of sugar and tea. I was also called sweetie pie by a nice lady, and that made me feel right at home! 😁 All in all, a great, tasty experience!

Don’t let the outside look fool you…This is a hidden diamond 💎 in Franklin. The best country food I ever had not only in TN bu anywhere. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the short ribs and my wife had the country fried steak - both amazing 👏
Just one of the best places to eat in general. Everything is amazing. The staff is so nice you don’t want to leave and the food is so good you won’t want to stop eating. More people should know about this place, but I’m kinda glad they don’t.
I wish I could pack Barbara's up with me and take the whole place with me everywhere I go! Seriously you're missing out if you've never ate here. I have bragged about their porkchops for 3 years and I have looked forward to coming back. When I came back this week it didn't disappoint. My memory didn't deceive me. Barbara's was just as good now as it was then. The green beans are mouthwatering. The porkchop meal is too much for just one sitting so I end up getting two amazing meals for the price of one. This place is an entire vibe.
Ok, y'all. Listen. This is some straight up down South cooking. Located in what seems like primarily a residential area, this place is easy to pass by and not see from the street so pay attention when following your map guidance. I had the poppyseed chicken with pineapple casserole... both of which I've never had before. Apparently the pineapple casserole is a big deal down South (as I learned). There's limited parking and somewhat limited seating. When you walk in, you'll feel like family. A must visit. Highly recommended.

Fantastic southern meat and three, I'm always a fan of their fried chicken and the poppyseed chicken casserole. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were good, but they had already run out of my favorites, fried okra, and the field peas. I missed getting pictures of the blackberry cobbler, and the banana pudding as both disappeared unbelievably quickly!
Really good country cooking.
Love, love, love the South African accent of the staff. Count how many times you get called "Darling".
