We attended First Baptist Church Fort Lauderdale this Sunday. We're from out of town so we were a little hesitant being there as the newbies. The service was a blessing and the preaching was spot on - I needed to hear what the pastor had to say. We've all been dropped and carried - great message.

We love this pageant and make the pilgrimage almost every year to see and experience it. We are Catholic but love our Baptist brothers and sisters here at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale . The pageant is truly an amazing experience and one to behold at any age.

This is my new home. Very genuine connections, lovely worship team, great experienced pastors and leaders and such an expansive beautiful area with ample parking space and lots of coffee for all.

I’ve enjoyed going to FBFTL for several years! It’s a wonderful church located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale, with a rich history of ministering to those in need not only in the Fort Lauderdale area, but around the world with their missionary work. I especially like Pastor James’ preaching, he is very passionate about diving into the word of God and understanding the scriptures. He brings his own unique style to the message every week, and I find that it resonates in my own life and is very applicable. It’s evident that both the leadership team and volunteers at FBFTL are working hard to reach the community in a unique way and they have a heart to serve! This past year they’ve provided meals to frontline workers, given out backpacks when the school year was starting, meal kits for the Thanksgiving holiday, and many other examples of generosity in our city! FBFTL has done a good job at offering in-person services in a socially distant manner during the COVID-19 crisis. They have a large sanctuary that allows families or individuals to spread out, and they typically have two service times on Sundays, 9am and 11am. They have a great worship team for Sunday services and they have small groups currently meeting online. They also offer fun outdoor events for the community, which they usually post about on their Facebook page or website. My family and I attended the event last month where they had a movie night out on the lawn, or I should say parking lot, where they showed the movie Elf. It was a lovely outdoor event where they allowed people to come together and enjoy a movie night and get in the holiday spirit! This church has been a blessing in my life and I believe with their efforts they will continue to impact the city of Fort Lauderdale with the love of God. I look forward to seeing how FBFTL progresses as a church, and I’m proud to support the work that they do!

First Baptist Church Ft. Lauderdale has been our home church for 36 years. From the time you step on campus you will be greeted by friendly church members that would love to show you to a class or to the Service. The Sunday School classes are fabulous from birth to Seniors. I love that all ages study the same scripture each week . Parents and grandparents can discuss what they learned with their children each week after class. Sunday School starts at 9a.m. And is a time to grow deeper in God’s word and to fellowship with a lot of really nice people. The church service is awesome starting with great music!!!! And a wonderful sermon by Pastor James . We look forward in seeing you at church on Sunday! Can’t wait to get to know you.
