Very nice local grocery and deli with very friendly staff and interesting variety of items for sale. The sandwiches are uniformly good, but I can recommend the chicken salad and tuna salad especially, and they have a nice variety of fresh breads available for the sandwiches. The market has an interesting selection of items, including some international items that would probably be difficult to find elsewhere. And a nice selection of wines, including some good domestic bottles, at reasonable prices.

I recently stopped in to get some sandwiches. I'm not sure if the sandwich menu was different because it was a Sunday, but their website has way more sandwiches on the menu than what's available on the menu in the deli. Either way, my wife and I wanted a veggie sandwich (not on the menu) and the guy preparing our food was very helpful and had awesome suggestions. Between their fresh baked bread, house made mozeralla and olive spread, it was amazing. They've got plenty of imported wines, pastas, coffee and other Italian groceries. We tried this crazy coffee soda. It has waaaaay to much sugar but definitely tastes good (if you like sweet things) and gave us quite a bolt of energy. They've got lots of prepared foods that looked tasty as well.

If you like a place where the employees have a bit of "gusto", this is the place to be. You can shop their variety of wine and Italian goods or you can order delicious, authentic Italian food. Not feeling either? Then try their delicious sandwiches. So happy I found this place.

A family business specializing in a superior selection and variety of top quality prepared and fresh Italian foods and groceries, both domestic, Canadian and imported from Italy. It's a smaller version of EATALY, in NYC, without the large produce section, but they usually have basic veggies that are popular in the preparation of Italian foods. They carry a large selection of prepared Italian antipasti, several imported types of green and black olives and salads, various prepared seafoods , pastas, marinated veggies and fowl, sliced meats and cold cuts, and lots of cut, whole, shredded and grated cheeses, again, both domestic and Italian. They also serve foods to eat on premises in their seated restaurant area or take home, and cater to offices and homes as well. It has been in it's space in the strip center on the SW corner of Oakland Park Blvd and Federal Hwy for over 36 years, although it has been through several changes of names and ownership, including its most recent ownership change within the last few years. It has a large "Regulars" loyal customer base, so such a large number of people can't be collectively wrong. The restaurant section, mostly lunch, draws alot of new folks as well, as any other Italian foods speciality stores within miles are smaller and don't have similar variety. It's next nearest competitor is Bella Monte on East Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach, a few hundred feet from the Intracoastal bridge, Also a solid choice when you're further north. The staff is extremely accommodating, and there's also a pretty varied collection of moderately priced wines as well as more expensive popular brands and vinyards, mostly Italian, French, South American, Australian, a few German and of course California's and Oregon's popular regions. You need to try it, And spend some time getting familiar with what they do and what they carry. There are prepared foods and groceries there that aren't sold anywhere else within an hour in any direction.

Couldn't ask for a better market, great staff, great environment, haven't found a single meal I have disliked from here. They do everything with love. As an individual who does not reside in Ft Lauderdale full time, I always anticipate coming to Fernandas whenever I'm nearby. Solid 6 stars.

The prosciutto on ciabatta sandwich is the absolute best sandwich there but careful they run out of the fresh loaves fairly quickly... The tuna is great.. only ever had one bad experience there but I'll never order that sandwich again

I eat out a lot, I run a social media marketing company (Amplification, Inc.) and restaurants are my virtual office. This place is a hit, I have now been here twice, and the second time was better than the first. My first visit I enjoyed "The Hemingway" - a $9 dollar Cuban Sammy that was prepared and presented, surprisingly, perfectly! Score! My next visit, recently, I enjoyed "Mitch's Brooklyn Hero" - $9 bucks worth of marinated Italian eggplant (WOW!), thin sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, Greek roasted peppuhs, and some balsamic of the gods! This sandwich is a CROWD PLEASER, and hence, evoked this review. So many perfect layers of flavor in this one. MMMmmmmmmmm, wish I had 3 nearby!! The 6-footer says the "Martorano" is a hit as far as spicy Sicilian subs go. I will have to go back and give it a whirl ASAP as I respect her opinion immensely. In addition to a deli, there is some indoor seating, drinks, and Stacy's Pita Chips were a hit! They also vend wines, cheeses, and other "international market" fare. Conveniently located at Oakland Park and Useless 1, on the Southwest corner. Give it a whirl, and save me some mozzarella and s*it! Cabeza, OUT!

Such an incredible hidden gem! Great deli space with extensive wine options on the inside, in addition to the specialties from the market. Must go check them out!
